An organopolysiloxane composition which has improved adhesion and is curable at an elevated temperature in the presence of atmospheric moisture comprising: (a) An organopolysiloxane having an average of at least two hydroxyl groups per molecule; (b) an organosilicon compound containing at least two hydrolyzable groups per molecule which is capable of reacting with the hydroxyl groups of the organopolysiloxane; (c) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane containing at least one silicon-bonded hydrogen atom per molecule; (d) a platinum catalyst; and (e) if desired, a condensation catalyst. The resultant composition is generally heated to an elevated temperature to form an elastomer.

Curable organopolysiloxane compositions

The invention relates to compositions, containing (A) organopolysiloxanes, which have Si-bound hydroxy groups, (B) organopolysiloxanes, which have Si-bound hydrogen atoms, (C) platinum catalysts, (D) reinforcing fillers, (E) optionally non-reinforcing fillers, and (F) optionally inhibitors, which delay a platinum-catalyzed reaction of Si-bound hydroxy groups and Si-bound hydrogen atoms at room temperature, with the proviso that the organopolysiloxanes (A) have viscosities of 500 to 100,000,000 mPas at 25°C, that the platinum catalysts (C) are free of phosphoric acid trisamide ligands, that the reinforcing fillers (D) are present in amounts of at least 3% by weight, relative to the total mass of the compositions, that the non-reinforcing fillers (F) are present in lower amounts than the reinforcing fillers (D), that the use of reactive silanes as bonding agents and the use of additional condensation catalysts, which accelerate the condensation reaction of Si-bound hydroxy groups and/or alkoxy groups, are excluded

Zusammensetzungen enthaltend (A) Organopolysiloxane, die Si-gebundene Hydroxygruppen aufweisen, (B) Organopolysiloxane, die Si-gebundene Wasserstoffatome aufweisen, (C) Platinkatalysatoren, (D) verstarkende Fullstoffe, (E) gegebenenfalls nichtverstarkende Fullstoffe und (F) gegebenenfalls Inhibitoren, die eine platinkatalysierte Reaktion von Si-gebundenen Hydroxygruppen und Si-gebundenen Wasserstoffatomen bei Raumtemperatur verzogern, mit der Masgabe, dass die Organopolysiloxane (A) Viskositaten von 500 bis 100 000 000 mPa.s bei 25°C aufweisen, dass die Platinkatalysatoren (C) frei von Phosphorsauretrisamid-Liganden sind, dass die verstarkenden Fullstoffe (D) in Mengen von mindestens 3 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtmasse der Zusammensetzungen, enthalten sind, dass nichtverstarkende Fullstoffe (F) in geringeren Mengen als die verstarkenden Fullstoffe (D) enthalten sind, dass die Verwendung von reaktiven Silanen als Haftvermittler und die Verwendung von zusatzlichen Kondensationskatalysatoren, welche die Kondensationsreaktion von Si-gebundenen Hydroxy- und/oder Alkoxygruppen beschleunigen, ausgeschlossen sind.

Storage-stable organosilicon compositions are provided which are characterized in that, apart from 100 parts by weight of a diorganopolysiloxane polymer mixture and 1 to 15 parts by weight of an organohydrogenopolysiloxane polymer,they contain 0.001 to 0.1 part by weight of platinum in the form of a complex of the formula: ##STR1## in which the symbols R and R', which may be identical or differen, each represents a monovalent hydrocarbon radical having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or two of these radicals, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form a monovalent heterocyclic radical.
