TL;DR: A significantly increased risk of failure to achieve SVR in HCV-infected patients taking DAA with PPIs compared to non-PPI users is demonstrated and providers should consider whether PPI therapy is indicated for patients and withdraw of PPI Therapy in the absence of indications.

Impact of caffeine in hepatitis C virus infection: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
TL;DR: This study showed a decreased risk of advanced liver fibrosis and liver inflammation among HCV-infected patients who consumed caffeine on a regular basis, whether consumption of caffeine plays a role in the management of HCV infection requires further investigations.
