Media content is delivered to a variety of mobile devices in a protected manner based on client-server architecture with a symmetric (private-key) encryption scheme. A media preparation server (MPS) encrypts media content and publishes and stores it on a content delivery server (CDS), such as a server in a content distribution network (CDN). Client devices can freely obtain the media content from the CDS and can also freely distribute the media content further. They cannot, however, play the content without first obtaining a decryption key and license. Access to decryption keys is via a centralized rights manager, providing a desired level of DRM control.

Method and system for unified mobile content protection

A method and system for configuring a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) includes receiving an encrypted FPGA load-decryption key at an FPGA from a remote key-storage device. The remote key-storage device may be external to and operatively connected with the FPGA. The encrypted FPGA load-decryption key is decrypted using a session key, which may be stored at both the FPGA and the remote key-storage device. Encrypted FPGA-configuration data is received at the FPGA, and decrypted and authenticated using the decrypted FPGA load-decryption key. The decryption of the FPGA-configuration data may indicate a cryptographic state associated with the FPGA-configuration data, which may be used in recurring authentication of the FPGA-configuration data. For recurring authentication, a challenge message may be received at the FPGA from an authentication device, which may be encrypted using the cryptographic state and the session key to generate a response message. The response message may then be sent to the authentication device to determine authenticity of the FPGA-configuration data.

Secure field-programmable gate array (fpga) architecture

A method and system for securely communicating information via a low bandwidth channel uses encryption that adds comparatively little overhead to the size of the transmission. This method and system efficiently take advantage of the properties of public key cryptography, a shared secret, a traffic key from the shared secret, an abbreviated initialization vector, and an abbreviated whole message signature. The information and the whole message signature are encrypted using the traffic key with a stream cipher.

Short message encryption

An image de-blurring system obtains a blurred input image and generates, based on the blurred input image, a blur kernel. The blur kernel is an indication of how the image capture device was moved and/or how the subject captured in the image moved during image capture. Based on the blur kernel and the blurred input image, a de-blurred image is generated. The blur kernel is generated based on the direction of edges identified in the blurred input image and/or based on curves having a high curvature identified in the image (e.g., corners identified in the image).

Depth map stereo correspondence techniques are described. In one or more implementations, a depth map generated through use of a depth sensor is leveraged as part of processing of stereo images to assist in identifying which parts of stereo images correspond to each other. For example, the depth map may be utilized to describe depth of an image scene which may be used as part of a stereo correspondence calculation. The depth map may also be utilized as part of a determination of a search range to be employed as part of the stereo correspondence calculation.

A device for and method of authenticated encryption by concatenating a first user-datum with a second datum, concatenating the first datum with a third datum, encrypting the results, concatenating the encrypted results, concatenating the result with a message and a fifth user-definable datum, hashing the result, concatenating the result with the message, dividing the result into blocks, concatenating the first datum with a sixth datum, generating key-stream blocks from the result using a block cipher in counter mode, combining the blocks and key-stream blocks, concatenating the result with the first datum and the fifth datum, and transmitting the result to a recipient. The recipient extracts the hash value from the received ciphertext, generates a hash value from the first through fifth datums and plaintext derived from the ciphertext, and compares the two. If they match then the plaintext and fifth datum are as the sender intended.
