Within the context of eHealth interventions, a shared understanding of what constitutes engagement in and with eHealth technologies is missing. A clearer understanding of engagement could provide a valuable starting point for guidelines relating to the design and development of eHealth technologies. Given the cross-disciplinary use of the term "engagement," investigating how engagement (and its components) is conceptualized in different domains could lead to determining common components that are deemed important for eHealth technological design. As such, the aim of this paper was 3-fold: (a) to investigate in which domains engagement features, (b) to determine what constitutes engagement in these different domains, and (c) to determine whether there are any common components that seem to be important. A comprehensive systematic scoping review of the existing literature was conducted in order to identify the domains in which engagement is used, to extract the associated definitions of engagement, and to identify the dimensionality or components thereof. A search of five bibliographic databases yielded 1,231 unique records. All titles, abstracts, and full texts were screened based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. This led to 69 articles being included for further analyses. The results showed that engagement is used in seven functional domains, categorized as follows: student (n = 18), customer (n = 12), health (n = 11), society (n = 10), work (n = 9), digital (n = 8), and transdisciplinary (n = 1) domains. It seems that some domains are more mature regarding their conceptualization and theorizing on engagement than others. Further, engagement was found to be predominantly conceptualized as a multidimensional construct with three common components (behavior, cognition, and affective) shared between domains. Although engagement is prolifically used in different disciplines, it is evident that little shared consensus as to its conceptualization within and between domains exists. Despite this, engagement is foremost seen as a state of being engaged in/with something, which is part of, but should not be confused with, the process of engagement. Behavior, cognition, and affect are important components of engagement and should be specified for each new context.

An Exploratory Study of the Spirituality-Oriented Experiences of Tourists

This article presents an approach to brand management through a process of stimulus and organism (i.e. perceptions, image, attitudes, knowledge) formation of brand. The two empirical cases –one of the consumer perceptions on Alipay mobile payment system, and another on Tae- tea brand in China – demonstrate not only the validity and robustness of the SOR (Stimulus-Organism-Response) model but also offer some of the theoretical and practical implications in other research and practical issues and areas. The model fit is evidenced by the structural equation model (SEM) statistics. By integrating the descriptive analysis, ANOVA and t-tests, the various significant differences of the demographics and psychographic variables can further help the brand owners and managers identify the important areas where branding and marketing initiatives should be targeted. The SOR model is simple and analytically generalizable to various applications not limiting to only consumer behaviors and brand perceptions, but can also be extended to any research issues that relate to socio-psychological states, stimulating factors, intentions, commitment, behaviors and performances

This study validates the application of the theory of planned behavior by intercepting situational (environmental) and personal factors to influence students’ entrepreneurial intentions. While TPB in entrepreneurial intentions has been widely acknowledged and attempted, but gaps still exist in terms of how the TPB variables are explained in their roles towards entrepreneurial intentions, and in particular, mediating roles of perceived behavioral control through self-efficacy and personal attitude are relatively unfound in the extant literature. Situational factors constituting of both curriculums and subjective norms are studied, while occupational challenge mindset is explored for indirect impact on entrepreneurial intention mediated through personal attitude. Sampling was drawn from the student population currently enrolled at Mae Fah Luang University, one renown public university in Chiang Rai. The university is chosen for its strategic focus in entrepreneurship and offering of wide ranges of subjects such as in Chinese medicine, cosmetics, Chinese language studies, and business majored students. Methodologically, both hierarchical multiple regression and structural equation modeling (SEM) methods would be used, which provide statistical evidences for the adapted and extended TPB framework.

Bottled water consumption has been on the rise globally but the brand image of bottled water remains unstudied. Motivated by the significant value of brand image as a source of brand equity, particularly from customer-based aspect, this study puts an emphasis on brand image in examining its role on brand trust and brand loyalty. The contribution lies not only in revealing the image role in bottled water, but also the cognitive, affective and sensory domains of image perceptions. In other words, cognitive image, affective image, and sensory image are studied. While cognitive image is rational in nature of the perceptual process and has closer relationship with the tangible aspects of encounters and experiences with the brand, the affective or emotional image is more related to feelings that arise as a result of, for instances, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and customer services. Sensory aspect of brand image is vastly neglected in the extant literature. These three dimensions of brand image form the customers’ mental constructions and gives rise to meaningful perceptions to influence brand trust and brand loyalty. The findings of this study can provide the brand marketers with a strategic guide to improve the brand perceptions of consumers and thus induce brand loyalty. Besides, on the theoretical domain, this study provides an imagery insight in more balanced manner – cognitively, affectively, and sensory wise. The main statistical analysis tools to be used are factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression and structural equation modeling (SEM) analyses, including mediating impact analysis. Data would be collected from the consumers of purified bottled water in Tachileik, Myanmar.
