TL;DR: Thermodynamic calculations indicate that at the 'hot spot' temperature of about 5000 K believed to be present, there would very large amounts of NO and OH radicals present, and at such high temperatures, thermodynamics would be a good approximation of the situation, since the rates of reactions would be very rapid.

TL;DR: The rate of dissociation of carbon disulfide decreased with increasing temperature, in agreement with most sonochemical reactions, and the rate also decreased with decreasing area of the horn tip, keeping total power constant.

Sonication of aqueous solutions of chlorobenzene.

TL;DR: The use of ultrasound for conversion of chlorine in organic compounds in water to chloride can be performed more efficiently using a higher frequency and with a lower intensity; there is, however, a possibility that the toxicity of the aqueous solution is increased by such treatment.
