A context-aware voice guidance method is provided that interacts with other voice services of a user device. The voice guidance does not provide audible guidance while the user is making a verbal request to any of the voice-activated services. Instead, the voice guidance transcribes its output on the screen while the verbal requests from the user are received. In some embodiments, the voice guidance only provides a short warning sound to get the user's attention while the user is speaking on a phone call or another voice-activated service is providing audible response to the user's inquires. The voice guidance in some embodiments distinguishes between music that can be ducked and spoken words, for example from an audiobook, that the user wants to pause instead of being skipped. The voice guidance ducks music but pauses spoken words of an audio book in order to provide voice guidance to the user.

Context-aware voice guidance

Two or more display components (205, 209, 212) are used to provide spatially correlated displays of 3D content. Three-dimensional content is rendered on multiple displays (205, 209, 212) where the 3D content refers to the same virtual 3D coordinates, in which the relative position of the displays to each other determines the 3D virtual camera position for each display. One of the displays (205, 209, 212) may be mobile, such as a cell phone, and the other stationary or nomadic, such as a laptop. Each display shows a view based on a virtual camera into 3D content, such as an online virtual world. By continuously sensing and updating the relative physical distances and orientations of each device to one another, the devices show the user a view into the 3D content that is spatially correlated. Each device has a virtual camera that uses a common pool of 3D geometrical data and renders this data to display images.

A speed of the objects is determined based on the user input. A speed of the virtual camera is determined based on the speed of the objects. A method for automatically adjusting a display viewpoint for a three-dimensional navigation system may include receiving a velocity of a vehicle and a look-ahead distance between the vehicle and a look-ahead point, determining a range distance between the vehicle and the display viewpoint, determining the first position of the display viewpoint, displaying a three-dimensional view of a navigation route for the vehicle from the first position, receiving a change in the look-ahead distance, determining a new range distance, determining a second position of the display viewpoint, and automatically moving the position of the display viewpoint to the second position on a curvilinear swoop path located above and behind the vehicle. A corresponding system may include a navigation information collector, a range determiner and a display viewpoint adjuster.
