Proceedings Article
A Spectral Learning Approach to Knowledge Tracing
TL;DR: The results of the study show that the spectral algorithm can improve knowledge tracing parameter- fitting time significantly while maintaining the same prediction accuracy, or help to improve accuracy while still keeping parameter-fitting time equivalent to EM.
Journal Article
A study of adaptive link annotation in educational hypermedia
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Evaluating Visual Explanations for Similarity-Based Recommendations: User Perception and Performance
Chun-Hua Tsai,Peter Brusilovsky +1 more
TL;DR: A participatory process of designing explanation interfaces with multiple explanatory goals for three similarity-based recommendation models is introduced and it is suggested that the user-preferred interface may not guarantee the same level of performance.
Book ChapterDOI
Addictive links: the motivational value of adaptive link annotation in educational hypermedia
