A heat-dissipating device includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, and a blade structure disposed in the housing and having a hub and a plurality of rotor blades. The housing has an inwardly extending sidewall to define an accelerating airflow passage between the sidewall, the hub and the rotor blades for effectively increasing the airflow pressure and stabilizing the discharged airflow.

A motor driven fan assembly is disclosed wherein a hub has a plurality of fan blades which extend radially outwardly therefrom and is fixed to an air cooled brushless motor for rotation, such that when the hub is rotatably driven by the motor, the fan blades create an atmospheric pressure differential defined by a higher pressure region downstream of the blades and a lower pressure region upstream of the blades. The hub has an opening dimensioned and located to communicate with cooling air openings in the motor. A cooling air directing plate is positioned axially upstream of the hub to define an air directing space with the motor and the hub, and the space communicates the lower pressure region with the higher pressure region through a cooling air path in the motor and the hub opening to cool the motor. A method of cooling such fan driving motor of the brushless type is also disclosed.

Fan assembly having an air directing member to cool a motor

An automotive air conditioning assembly has a fan that is molded by a technique that inevitably leaves the lower hub and upper rim radially staggered relative to one another. Therefore, a substantial length of the edges of the blades' bases are unsupported by the incomplete hub, and the air forced radially outwardly between the blades has no fan structure to confine it at that point. The invention provides a fan housing having a wall portion specially shaped so as to provide the air confinement function that the missing section of the fan hub cannot.

Automotive air conditioning fan assembly

A hand-guidable electric machine tool has a casing having an air guide duct, a tool part, a motor for driving the tool part, and a radial blower for cooling the motor, the radial blower having a fan wheel for forming a static pressure differential. The air guide duct has an inlet opening and an outlet opening and continuously widening in cross-section in a direction of the outlet opening. The cross-section measured in radial direction of the inlet opening of the air guide duct is smaller than the cross-section of the outlet opening.

A fan assembly for creating an air current is described, the fan assembly having a nozzle, a system for creating an air flow through the nozzle and a filter for removing particulates from the air flow, the nozzle having an interior passage, a mouth for receiving the air flow from the interior passage, and a Coanda surface located adjacent the mouth and over which the mouth is arranged to direct the air flow, wherein the fan provides an arrangement producing an air current and a flow of cooling air created without requiring a bladed fan, i.e. air flow is created by a bladeless fan.

A compact centrifugal fan that draws air in past the impeller hub, which encloses a motor and which spins about a central axis, and then urges the air through a bend in the fluid passageway. As the air passes through the annular inlet channel about the impeller hub, it flows in a forward axial direction. The air passes through the bend in the fluid passageway, as the air is being swept around the hub by the blades of the impeller. After the air passes through the bend, it has a reverse axial flow component, in addition to a circumferential flow component. Air having a forward axial flow component passes by the portion of an impeller blade that is closest to the impeller hub, and air having a reverse axial flow component passes the portion of a blade that is furthest from the impeller hub.
