An excitation arrangement for a long stator drive for rapid transit systems has combined generation of propulsive and portative forces. The arrangement comprises at least one heteropolar magnet which has a plurality of channels extending at right angles relative to the direction of the long stator, the channels being open at their pole plane lying opposite the long stator and magnetic coils are located in the channel. The channels have a rectangular cross section extending up to the pole plane and the conductors of the magnetic coils are wound in tight contact with one another and with the channel walls on the side of the poles. The magnet comprises at least one recess extending parallel to the channels beneath the pole plane.

The invention relates to a maglev railway comprising a support and drive system of the long stator-linear motor type, magnetic support poles that are situated in the vehicle being additionally provided with linear generator windings (10) that generate electric energy in the vehicle. The aim of the invention is to prevent unwanted, periodic vibrations (ripples) from being generated at low speeds. To achieve this, according to the invention, the teeth (5) and grooves (6) of the long stator (3) are arranged in high-speed sections (2 a) parallel to the cores and the linear generator windings (10) of the support magnets provided in said cores and in low-speed sections (2 b) obliquely to said cores (7) and linear generator windings.

The aim of the invention is to reduce ripple forces in a magnetic levitation transport system to the greatest extent. In one solution, grooves extending transversally to the longitudinal direction are diagonally oriented in a magnet block for the long stator. In another solution, the outer areas (9, 10) of pole heads (2) in a magnet block for the levitation magnet of a magnetic levitation transport system, said areas running alongside outer grooves (3, 6), are modified and configured in a complementary manner in the direction of the grooves (3 to 6), in such a way that the overall width of both outer areas (9, 10) along the grooves (3 to 10) always corresponds to the width of a tooth (7) lying between the grooves (3 to 6). Die Erfindung betrifft eine Erregeranordnung fur einen Langstatorantrieb, insbesondere Synchron-Langstatorantrieb fur Schnellverkehrssysteme mit kombinierter Erzeugung von Vortriebs- und Tragkraften, - mit wenigstens einem Wechselpol-Magneten (1). der mehrere quer zur Langstatorrichtung verlaufende Nuten (4) aufweist, die an ihrer dem Langstator gegenuberliegenden Polebene (5) offen sind und in denen die Leiter (9, 10, 12) zugeordneter Magnetspulen verlegt sind. Um das als ungefederte Masse zu betrachende Magnetgewicht zu reduzieren, ohne das die Eigenschaften des Magneten (1) darunter leiden, sollen die Nuten (4) einen sich bis zur Polebene erstreckenden rechteckigen Querschnitt besitzen, sollen die Leiter (9, 10, 12) der Magnetspulen in engem Kontakt untereinander sowie zu den Nutwandungen (11) verlegt sein und soll der Magnet unterhalb seiner Polebene (5) wenigstens eine sich parallel zu den Nuten erstreckende Ausnehmung (6) aufweisen.

The combined system of a magnetic suspension vehicle has a longitudinal stator (rail) along the travel path. The stator magnetic core has a great number of grooves arranged one behind the other in the travel direction. The grooves contain a three- phase a.c. coil. Along the vehicle is mounted a support magnetic core with a number of magnetic poles of alternating polarity, mounted one behind the other in the travel direction. Each pole has a d.c. coil, and the vehicle comprises a linear generator with a magnetisable core and a current pick-up coil. Between the support magnet and the generator cores on one side and the stator core in an air gap. The support magnetic core (32) consists of several partial cores (32A-C) with plain pole surfaces (31). Between two partial cores in travelling direction is fitted a linear generator core (45) with its associated current pick-up coil (41).
