A reusable load balancer for parallel search problems

TL;DR: The design and implementation of a reusable load balancer for parallel search problems is described, which can be developed independently from the application and replaced and reused as it does not directly interact with the application itself.
Journal ArticleDOI

CCDL: the composable components description language

TL;DR: The most important strength of CCDL is its ability to describe structural constraints of composable components (that represent composition targets), as flexible guidelines for their composition.

Decentralized cooperative management: a bottom up approach

TL;DR: This paper proposes a node-architecture for decentralized cooperative management, structured as three clearly separated planes: a communication plane that is designed with adaptability in mind, a coordination plane that enables individual nodes to cooperate, and a management plane that monitors the communication plane and adapts it when necessary.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic load balancing in transputer applications with geometric parallelism

TL;DR: The load controller can be developed and adapted separately from the typical application code and it will be shown that the load balancing mechanism can be implemented on the transputer with minimal overhead.
