Ectopic Activation of Germline and Placental Genes Identifies Aggressive Metastasis-Prone Lung Cancers
Sophie Rousseaux,Alexandra Debernardi,Baptiste Jacquiau,Anne Laure Vitte,A. Vesin,Hélène Nagy-Mignotte,Denis Moro-Sibilot,Pierre Yves Brichon,Sylvie Lantuejoul,Pierre Hainaut,Julien Laffaire,Aurélien de Reyniès,David G. Beer,Jean-François Timsit,Jean-François Timsit,Christian Brambilla,Christian Brambilla,Elisabeth Brambilla,Elisabeth Brambilla,Saadi Khochbin +19 more
TL;DR: An ectopic gene expression signature associated with a subset of highly aggressive tumors, which predicted poor prognosis independently of the TNM (tumor size, node positivity, and metastasis) stage or histological subtype is identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Postoperative systemic artery to pulmonary vessel fistula: analysis of three cases.
TL;DR: Because SAPVF are well tolerated and complications are uncommon, clinical follow-up may be warranted in most cases andEmbolization seems to be a useful tool in case of a single afferent artery but carries a higher risk of bleeding in the case of large SAPVf.
Journal ArticleDOI
Extracapsular hematoma of the parathyroid glands
TL;DR: Surgical treatment of cervicothoracic hematoma due to parathyroid gland rupture is concluded that, if there are no severe compressive or hemodynamic symptoms, the surgical treatment must be performed more than 3 months after the bleeding, as the dissection then is as simple as any well ordered surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective venous sampling in recurrent and persistent hyperparathyroidism: indication, technique, and results
Philippe Chaffanjon,David Voirin,Ashok Vasdev,Olivier Chabre,Norman M. Kenyon,Pierre Yves Brichon +5 more
TL;DR: The results show that a high postoperative gradient of parathyroid hormone in the internal thoracic veins indicates an ectopic pathological gland in the thymus, and a high gradient in a vertebral vein indicates a pathological superiorParathyroid gland, usually in a retro-esophageal position.
Journal ArticleDOI
CT-guided biopsy of nonresolving focal air space consolidation.
Gilbert Ferretti,Adrien Jankowski,Mathieu Rodière,Pierre Yves Brichon,Christian Brambilla,Sylvie Lantuejoul +5 more
TL;DR: CT-guided lung biopsy using a core needle biopsy provides a high degree of diagnostic accuracy and allows specific characterization of nonresolving pulmonary focal air space consolidation.
