The installation is on a pole (10) mounted at the edge of the road, carrying detectors (24) for the presence of pedestrians (6) and approaching vehicles (4), and signaling panels (25,26) facing drivers and pedestrians that are illuminated to warn each of the presence of the other, and to show the speed of the approaching vehicle to both pedestrians and the oncoming driver.

The equipment has an emitter installed on a speed limiting panel initially provided with a code of a route, where the emitter is placed on the panels irrespective of the speed recommended for the place. The emitter transmits an indication relating to speed not to be exceeded to a vehicle equipped with a receiver by wave. The receiver transmits data to a speed limiter of the vehicle so that the vehicle adjusts its speed based on recommended indications.

A unit fitted on road vehicle's dashboard, to indicate to the driver the Speed Limit 2 of the area of road, and the speed 4 of the vehicle, with flashing of the speed limit display, and or a sound signal, should the vehicle speed exceed the speed limit. The speed limit would be transmitted to the vehicle's unit, by a transmitter 7 mounted on the first and last speed limit signs, of that area.
