Journal ArticleDOI

Early elicitor induction in members of a novel multigene family coding for highly related RING-H2 proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana.

TL;DR: Analysis of genes selected and sequences from Arabidopsis stored in databases permitted the prediction of several RING-H2 proteins that contain highly homologous RING domains, which suggest that some ATLs may be involved in the early stages of the defense response triggered in plants in response to pathogen attack.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation and Gene Expression Analysis of Arabidopsis thaliana Mutants With Constitutive Expression of ATL2, an Early Elicitor-Response RING-H2 Zinc-Finger Gene

Mario Serrano, +1 more
- 01 Jun 2004 -
TL;DR: The fact that ATL2 and other members of the ATL family are activated in eca mutants links the induction of this putative class of ubiquitin ligases to plant defense signaling pathways.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and function of the Bacillus SpoIIE protein and its localization to sites of sporulation septum assembly

TL;DR: It is speculated that SpoIIE plays a role in assembling the sporulation septum, perhaps determining the special properties of the structure that permit intercompartment signalling during development.
Journal ArticleDOI

The ATL Gene Family from Arabidopsis thaliana and Oryza sativa Comprises a Large Number of Putative Ubiquitin Ligases of the RING-H2 Type

TL;DR: The organization of ATLs in Arabidopsis and rice in this study will be a valuable comprehensive guide for this multigene family.
