In a wind turbine and in a method of operating a wind turbine, the rotor speed and/or the generator power are reduced in response to variables exceeding predetermined values, the variables being one or more of wind direction relative to horizontal direction of main shaft of turbine, turbulence of the wind, or any other variable sensed by one or more sensors mounted on components of turbine.

Method of operating a wind turbine

A sliding quick attach system for allowing sliding movement of the implement while providing quick attachment and release of the implement. The sliding quick attach system includes a support frame, a first brace and a second brace extending upwardly from the support frame, a catch member attached to the upper ends of the braces, a first latch structure and a second latch structure attached near opposing ends of the support frame, and an implement unit having an upper lip and a lower lip with at least one slot. The locking pin of the latch structure slidably extends within the slot within the lower lip of the implement unit for retaining the implement unit while allowing side-to-side movement of the implement unit.

Sliding quick attach system

An implement mounting system for providing a lightweight structure capable of moving along 3 main axes for use upon small to mid-sized tractors. The implement mounting system includes a support frame having a pair of side supports and a rear support, a ball joint attached to the rear support, and a support arm movably attached to the ball joint for rotating about 3 main axes. A brace member is attached between the support frame and the support arm for reducing the amount of side-to-side movement of the support arm. The ball joint is comprised of a ball-and-socket structure for providing various pivoting movements of the support arm.

Implement mounting system

A vehicle is disclosed having a blade control system. The blade control system is provided to adjust the angle of a blade and to adjust the pitch of the blade. A method for adjusting the pitch of the blade is also disclosed.

Dozer blade pitch control system

A bulldozer blade pitch adjuster is disclosed having an adjustable length member with a body and two threaded members threaded into opposing ends of the body, and a cover that can be attached to the body to cover the body and the two threaded members, that can be removed from the body and engaged with the body in a second adjusting position where the cover acts as a wrench to rotate the body, thereby changing the length of the adjustable length member. Once the member is adjusted, the cover can be secured to the body in its first covering position.

Bulldozer blade pitch adjuster

A blade pitch indicator is releasably secured to a linear actuator in the form of a turnbuckle. The blade pitch indicator comprises a cover having protrusions forming arrow points that line up with a line of demarcation on the linear actuator. Indicia is associated with the protrusions to provide blade pitch positioning information to the operator. The turnbuckle is provided with two moveable yokes and a stationary threaded shaft. The threaded shaft is rotated to extend and retract the yokes, thereby adjusting the pitch position of the bulldozer blade. The threaded shaft is provided with a multifaceted nut in the form of a hexagonal nut that is engaged by a wrench to rotate the threaded shaft. The hexagonal nut is provided with an aperture through which a pin is inserted releasably securing the cover to the turnbuckle. The arrow points of the protrusions line up with the base end of the yokes to indicate the bulldozer blade's pitch position.
