Cloud computing is an architecture for providing computing service via the internet on demand and pay per use access to a pool of shared resources namely networks, storage, servers, services and applications, without physically acquiring them. So it saves managing cost and time for organizations. Many industries, such as banking, healthcare and education are moving towards the cloud due to the efficiency of services provided by the pay-per-use pattern based on the resources such as processing power used, transactions carried out, bandwidth consumed, data transferred, or storage space occupied etc. Cloud computing is a completely internet dependent technology where client data is stored and maintain in the data center of a cloud provider like Google, Amazon, Salesforce.som and Microsoft etc. Limited control over the data may incur various security issues and threats which include data leakage, insecure interface, sharing of resources, data availability and inside attacks. There are various research challenges also there for adopting cloud computing such as well managed service level agreement (SLA), privacy, interoperability and reliability. This research paper outlines what cloud computing is, the various cloud models and the main security risks and issues that are currently present within the cloud computing industry. This research paper also analyzes the key research and challenges that presents in cloud computing and offers best practices to service providers as well as enterprises hoping to leverage cloud service to improve their bottom line in this severe economic climate.

Cloud Computing: Security Issues and Research Challenges

Cloud computing is becoming an increasingly popular enterprise model in which computing resources are made available on-demand to the user as needed. The unique value proposition of cloud computing creates new opportunities to align IT and business goals. Cloud computing use the internet technologies for delivery of IT- Enabled capabilities 'as a service' to any needed users i.e. through cloud computing we can access anything that we want from anywhere to any computer without worrying about anything like about their storage, cost, management and so on. In this paper we provide a comprehensive study on the motivation factors of adopting cloud computing, review the several cloud deployment and service models. It also explore certain benefits of cloud computing over traditional IT service environment-including scalability, flexibility, reduced capital and higher resource utilization - are considered as adoption reasons for cloud computing environment. We also include security, privacy, internet dependency and availability as avoidance issues. The later includes vertical scalability as technical challenge in cloud environment.

A Comprehensive Study on Cloud Computing

Cloud computing has become one of the most significant information security issues in recent years. That is due to the dramatically emerging applications and required services of cloud computing. However, in order to safely utilize and enjoy the benefit of cloud computing through wired/wireless networking, sufficient assurance of information security such as confidentiality, authentication, nonrepudiation, and integrity is the most critical factor for adoption. In order to well understand the security of cloud computing, experimental platform based on kernel-based virtual machine has established. Besides, a dynamic intrusion detection system for strengthening the security application of cloud computing is implemented. In the proposed mechanism, numbers of intrusion detectors are dispatched on the whole topology of the networking system through multi-layers and multi-stages deployment. Those information security issues related with the application and service of cloud computing will be experimented and discussed. The experiments include the equipment security of the client side termination, the threats of web site and webpage, the detection and diagnosis and surveillance of intrusion, the access and security of database in the cloud side, the detection of system leakage and the monitor of real-time repairing process, the management of server system, the management of mobile e-commerce processing, and the integrated analysis of associated security information and issues. The goal of the proposed mechanism is not only focused on find out some solutions, but also focused on develop some feasible information security techniques or products for the application and service of cloud computing.

Information Security of Cloud Computing for Enterprises

As the cloud technologies are largely studied and mobile technologies are evolving, new directions for development of mobile learning tools deployed on cloud are proposed.. MLearning is treated as part of the ubiquitous learning paradigm and is a pervasive extension of E-Learning technologies. Development of such learning tools requires specific development strategies for an effective abstracting of pedagogical principles at the software design and implementation level. Current paper explores an interdisciplinary approach for designing and development of cloud based M-Learning tools by mapping a specific development strategy used for educational programs to software prototyping strategy. In order for such instruments to be user effective from the learning outcome point of view, the evaluation process must be rigorous as we propose a metric model for expressing the trainee’s overall learning experience with evaluated levels of interactivity, content presentation and graphical user interface usability.

Cloud-Based Mobile Learning

In this paper, we are going to introduce new services in Cloud Computing environment. Three Cloud Computing services are already classified by the researchers such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Each of defined services serves distinct purpose. Here, we propose some more fundamental services which are still undefined to the researchers in most of the cases. Each type of utility service is shown with an example which is interrelated with the engineering college scenario. An engineering college hierarchical framework is used as a case study where in each cloud is defined as a private or public or hybrid cloud. This hierarchical design is based on the typical resource environment found in many academic institutions.

Introducing New Services in Cloud Computing Environment

Online social networks play a vital role in spreading information in today's world. Interestingly, the spread of information is due to the existence of the underlying connectivity of the users. An important aspect in the propagation of information in a social network is the language of the connected users. Understanding the information propagation from the perspective of languages is of particular interest because we live in a world with a very diverse set of languages. This paper aims to explore the language networks that are formed as the basis of user interactions in Twitter (an online social network platform). Using Network Science approaches, we unveil the "Twitter language network" as a whole is a connected system of many different languages that acts as an enabler of information spread. The connected language structure arises due to the presence of many multilingual speakers. Our work also sheds light on the similarity of languages from a speaker-preference point of view.

Exploring the World Languages in Twitter

We live in a world where information flows very rapidly and people become aware of events on the other side of the world in a matter of seconds; this a consequence of the globalized, fully-connected world we live in. Information spreads via many different channels, but more recently we have witnessed the birth of the information-over-online-social-network phenomena. This means that more and more people get their news from online social networks such Facebook and microblogs such as Twitter. Yet, another source of information are weblogs (or blogs). Bloggers (people who write to blog or own a blog) are capable of influencing a lot of people and they even tend to be sources of information to mainstream news media. This paper delves into an issue relating to the ability of information to spread, but instead of tracking information itself, we look at the infrastructure that is in place linking blogs.We argue that the structure itself is an enabler or disabler of information spread depending on a categorization. This paper categorizes blogs and studies the level of overlap between these categories.

An Analysis of the Overlap of Categories in a Network of Blogs

Blogs form an essential part of the Web and they are one of the main sources of information to millions of people around the world. Blogs such as Gizmodo, Slashdot, and many others, receive a very large number of daily visitors and consequently are a main force on driving what information becomes known to the public. Furthermore, information in blogs have become crucial to established news agencies such as CNN and NBC, which have dedicated programs and reporters to discuss information in the Blogosphere. This paper looks at the structure the blogosphere using Blogspot–Google’s blog hosting service–as a case study.We created networks for 12 different blog categories and a combined network. We show that these networks are very similar to the structure of the whole WWW and that the blogosphere is highly connected regardless of category divisions.

Measuring a Category-Based Blogosphere

One factor influencing human online connectivity, which only recently has been receiving attention, is the language used by the user in his activities. This paper uses Twitter (a popular online social network) to shed light on the effect of language to the online connectivity of people. Using techniques from Network Science, our work shows that Twitter users have a stronger preference to connect to people who use a common language, but more importantly, that this preference is stronger than the trend of connecting to people with similar popularity. Furthermore, we also show that the connecting patterns between users of different languages vary considerably; we use the concept of entropy to measure the degree of variation in the connecting patterns for each language.
