Hygieia: Smart Health and Sanitizing Dispenser

Human beings do not have control over nature. The casualties in natural calamities due to poor governance and non-availability of essential products like food, medicine and safe drinking water is the biggest loss and it has been a very challenging task for many countries. In this paper, an intelligent system has been proposed which would not only save affected people from hunger but also saves them from thirst and infectious diseases. Moreover, the system has been designed in such a way that people could get the full benefit by applying certain constraints and conditions. The system is also able to provide drinkable water to the people in need by taking dirty water as the input through a natural filtration system. The dispensers have been designed to ensure hassle-free distribution of essentials.

Design of Food, Medicine & Water Dispensing Automation Device

This paper describes the prototype of the All Time Medicine and Health device for the use of every person in need of drugs or medical assistance. ATMAH comprises of an automatic medicine vending machine to dispense drugs as per a doctor’s prescription. The vending mechanism is controlled by the raspberry pi which is a single board computer and the second aspect of it is the online portal for a user to check his prescriptions, and for the doctor to generate an e-prescription. The device dispenses out the prescribed medicines by the doctor when the user credentials of patients are validated from the database. The online portal is built on two fronts - a webpage and an android application which are linked to the same database. The patient can view his details and prescriptions through the android application or webpage by logging in with appropriate credentials.

All Time Medicine and Health Device

This paper describes the prototype of a pair of straps to assist the visually impaired. One strap is worn on the hand, and other on the foot. Both these straps are designed to work independently and co-dependently. These straps are a replacement to the tedious blind sticks. These help the visually impaired by not only alerting them the presence of an object, but also the size of the object. It is capable of differentiating between a brick and a wall. A different set of sensors for the two straps, to suit the physical conditions while walking. The hand strap also includes a feature to help the colour blind, and assist the blind learners to differentiate colours by just touching the object.
