Abstract: An efficient synthetic method for preparing novel 1-allyl-6-(1′,2′,3′-triazolyl) analogues of HEPT, an anti-HIV reverse transcriptase inhibitor, is reported. The key step is based upon selective intermolecular cycloaddition of azide to acetylenes.
