Glass forming, crystallization, and physical properties of MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-B2O3 glass-ceramics modified by ZnO replacing MgO

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the glass forming, crystallization, and physical properties of ZnO doped MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-B 2O3 glass-ceramics and revealed a rational mechanism of glass formation, crystal precipitation, and evolution between structure and performance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystallization, structure and characterization of MgO-Al 2 O 3 -SiO 2 -P 2 O 5 transparent glass-ceramics with high crystallinity

TL;DR: In this article, the crystallization kinetics, phase evolution, structure, physical and light transmittance properties of glass-ceramics were studied, and the results reveal that the crystallisation mechanism of this glass is believed to be three-dimensional interfacial growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystallization, structure and properties of MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 highly crystalline transparent glass-ceramics nucleated by multiple nucleating agents

TL;DR: In this article, highly crystalline transparent glass-ceramics were obtained in the MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 system by using P2O5, ZrO2 and TiO2 as multiple nucleating agents.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel Eu3+-doped phosphate glass for reddish orange emission: Preparation, structure and fluorescence properties

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of Eu2O3 content on the structure and properties of glasses were studied, aiming to provide a key guidance for the preparation of reddish orange light emitting glass.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sr2+/Y3+ co-doped MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-based glasses and transparent glass-ceramics: Crystallization, structure and properties

TL;DR: In this paper, the glass stability for the parent glasses increased and then decreased as the SrO content increased, showing the opposite trend of crystallinity under the same heating conditions, while the bonding strength between the structural groups showed the same trend as the glass resilience.
