Journal ArticleDOI
Rationally designed anti-HER2/neu peptide mimetic disables P185HER2/neu tyrosine kinases in vitro and in vivo.
Byeong Woo Park,Hongtao Zhang,Chuan-Jin Wu,Alan Berezov,Xin Zhang,Raj Dua,Qiang Wang,Gary D. Kao,Donald M. O'Rourke,Mark I. Greene,Ramachandran Murali +10 more
TL;DR: A structure-based derivation of the AHNP represents a novel strategy for the design of receptor-specific tumor therapies for p185HER2/neu-expressing human cancers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation and Characterization of Adenoviruses Persistently Shed from the Gastrointestinal Tract of Non-Human Primates
Soumitra Roy,Luk H. Vandenberghe,Sergey Kryazhimskiy,Rebecca Grant,Roberto Calcedo,Xin Yuan,Martin P. Keough,Arbans Sandhu,Qiang Wang,C. Angelica Medina-Jaszek,Joshua B. Plotkin,James M. Wilson +11 more
TL;DR: The high degree of asymptomatic shedding of live adenovirus in non-human primates and evidence for zoonotic transmissions warrants caution for primate handling and housing, and the presence of persistent and/or latent adnovirus infections in the gut should be considered in the design and interpretation of human and non- human primate studies with adanovirus vectors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intrathecal gene therapy corrects CNS pathology in a feline model of mucopolysaccharidosis I.
Christian Hinderer,Peter Bell,Brittney L. Gurda,Qiang Wang,Jean-Pierre Louboutin,Yanqing Zhu,Jessica H. Bagel,Patricia O'Donnell,Tracey Sikora,Therese Ruane,Ping Wang,Mark E. Haskins,James M. Wilson +12 more
TL;DR: This first demonstration of the efficacy of intrathecal gene therapy in a large animal model of a LSD should pave the way for translation into the clinic.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adeno-Associated Virus-Mediated Gene Transfer to Nonhuman Primate Liver Can Elicit Destructive Transgene-Specific T Cell Responses
Guangping Gao,Qiang Wang,Roberto Calcedo,Lauren E. Mays,Peter Bell,Lili Wang,Luk H. Vandenberghe,Rebecca Grant,Julio Sanmiguel,Emma E. Furth,James M. Wilson +10 more
TL;DR: Gene transfer to murine liver with vectors based on novel adeno-associated virus (AAV) serotypes is efficient, stable, and safe even in the setting of antigenic transgene products, and under some conditions primates may activate more robust T cell responses to transgenes than is observed in mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Shared Antigenic Epitopes and Pathobiological Functions of Anti-p185her2/neu Monoclonal Antibodies
Hongtao Zhang,Hongtao Zhang,Qiang Wang,Qiang Wang,Kathleen T. Montone,Kathleen T. Montone,Jennifer E. Peavey,Jennifer E. Peavey,Jeffrey A. Drebin,Jeffrey A. Drebin,Mark I. Greene,Mark I. Greene,Ramachandran Murali,Ramachandran Murali +13 more
TL;DR: Study of two anti-p185 antibodies indicates that they share structural similarity in the variable region, especially the CDR3 region, which determines the antibody-antigen interaction, and suggests that 7.16.4 may be useful for the pathological diagnosis and therapy of human tumors.
