Effect of traps on surface flashover of XLPE in vacuum
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of trap depth for shallow traps on the surface flashover performance in vacuum has been investigated and it was shown that the trap depth deepened on increasing the grain size and the flashover performances of the samples were enhanced by 76% and 19% respectively under dc and impulse voltage.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improvement of Surface Flashover Performance in Vacuum of A-B-A Insulator by Adopting ZnO Varistor Ceramics as Layer A
TL;DR: In this article, a new insulation system of ZnO varistor ceramic-Al2O3 ceramic-ZnOvaristor ceramic insulators (defined as A-B-A insulators) is proposed to improve surface flashover performance in vacuum so that it is possible to reduce the electric field at the vacuum-insulator-cathode triple junction (CTJ) by changing the conductivity and permittivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Organic Insulation System to Improve the Surface-Flashover Characteristics in Vacuum
TL;DR: In this article, a new organic insulation system is proposed to improve the surface-flashover performance in vacuum by inserting permittivity-gradient multilayer organic composite material between the electrode and the dielectric.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improvement of surface flashover characteristics about 45° insulator configuration in vacuum by a new organic insulation structure
TL;DR: In this paper, a new three-layered 45° insulation structure is proposed and investigated to further improve the surface flashover performance of the 45° vacuum-insulator configuration, which was prepared by inserting organic composite between the electrode and insulator.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improvement of surface flashover performance in vacuum by co-firing Mo/Al 2 O 3 cermets and Al 2 O 3 ceramics
TL;DR: In this paper, a new insulation structure of Mo/Al2O3 cermet was designed to improve the surface flashover performance in vacuum through co-firing, where the volume addition of metal Mo was managed from 2 vol% to 50 vol% and there could exist one or two layers with different Mo addition in Mo/al 2O 3 cermet.
