Piezoelectric ceramic composition, its production method, piezoelectric element, and dielectric element

A piezoelectric porcelain substrate (1) which comprises a composition containing a perovskite type oxide (Na1-x-y-zK xLi y Agz)(Nb1-wTaw)O3 and a tungsten bronze type oxide M(Nb1-vTav)2O6, wherein M is an element belonging to Group 2 of the long Periodic Table. The symbols x, y and z are preferably in the following ranges, respectively: 0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.9, 0 ≤ y ≤ 0.2 and 0 ≤ z ≤ 0.05. The composition preferably contains the tungsten bronze type oxide in an amount of 5.3 mol % or less. The piezoelectric porcelain has a high Curie temperature, can be used over a wide range of temperature, can generate a great displacement and can be fired with ease, and further is excellent also from pollutant, environmental and ecological view points.

Piezoelectric porcelain and method for preparation thereof

A BaTiO3 based semiconductor ceramic composition wherein without using Pb, the Curie temperature thereof can be shifted in the positive direction and further the resistivity thereof at room temperature thereof is markedly lowered. In this composition, a part of Ba is replaced with element A1 (at least one of Na, K, Li) and element A2 (Bi), and further Ba is replaced with a specified amount of element Q. Alternatively, a part of Ba is replaced with element A1 (at least one of Na, K, Li) and element A2 (Bi), and further a part of Ti is replaced with a specified amount of element M. Consequently, this composition realizes optimum atomic valence control and enables substantial drop of resistivity at room temperature, thereby being most suitable for use in a PTC thermistor, a PTC heater, a PTC switch, a temperature detector, etc., in particular, a heater for automobile or the like.

Piezoelectric ceramic and method for producing the same

The present invention provides a dielectric ceramic composition which can solve problems, involved in a conventional piezoelectric ceramic for an actuator using a tungsten bronze type composite oxide, i.e., a problem that the specific permittivity is so low (less than 2000) that the piezoelectric ceramic is unsuitable as a dielectric ceramic material for laminated ceramic capacitors, and a problem that, although Mn has the effect of improving the degree of sintering, since the specific permittivity is lowered with increasing the amount of Mn added, the conventional piezoelectric ceramic, when used as a dielectric ceramic material for laminated ceramic capacitors, poses a problem. The dielectric ceramic composition is composed mainly of a tungsten bronze type composite oxide represented by a compositional formula (K1-yNay)Sr2Nb5O15, wherein 0 ≤ y < 0.2, and contains 0.1 to 40 parts by mole, based on 100 parts by mole of the main component, of Mn as an auxiliary component.

Dielectric ceramic composition and laminated ceramic capacitor

SOLUTION: The piezo-electric porcelain composition a composite perovskite structure and when the composition is expressed by a general formula: (1-x-y-z) BaTiO3-x(Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3-yCaTiO3-zBa(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3, the composition is characterized by containing Ba, Ti, O, Bi, Na, Ca, Zn and Nb at such rates that x, y and z in the general formula, respectively satisfy the relationship: 0.0<x<=0.90, 0.0<=y<=0.20, 0.0<=z<0.05.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric porcelain composition giving stabilized piezoelectric properties as a piezo-resonator and a vibrator material by developing a piezoelectric ceramic having a large frequency constant. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric porcelain composition is represented by the formula xNa(Nb 1-a Ta a )O 3 -yK(Nb 1-a -Ta 1 )O 3 -zM(Nb 1-a Ta a ) 2 O 3 (M is at least one of alkaline earth metal where x+y+2z=1) and a, b, x and y in the formula are defined in the following ranges: 0.0≤a≤0.5; 0.2≤x≤0.98, 0.0≤y≤0.78; 0.01≤z≤0.4. At least one of compounds containing first row transition metal may be added to the composition so that its content becomes 0.01-1.8wt.%. The piezoelectric ceramics obtained from the objective composition has a large frequency constant, a large mechanical quality factor and a good electromechanical coupling factor.
