Electrochemical performance of microarc oxidation films formed on AZ91D magnesium alloy in silicate and phosphate electrolytes

TL;DR: In this article, the phase composition and electrochemical performances of microarc oxidation (MAO) films formed on AZ91D alloy using step-down current method in phosphate electrolytes (P-film) and silicate electrolytes(Si-film).
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of (NaPO3)6 concentrations on corrosion resistance of plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings formed on AZ91D magnesium alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, different plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) coatings were prepared on AZ91D magnesium alloy in electrolytes containing various concentrations of (NaPO 3 ) 6, and the morphologies, chemical compositions and corrosion resistance of the PEO coatings are characterized by environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), energy dispersive analysis of X-rays, potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) test.
Journal ArticleDOI

Select laser melting of W–Ni–Fe powders: simulation and experimental study

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of processing parameters of scan velocity, laser power, scan interval, and preheating process on temperature field distribution were studied through establishing a 3D model based on finite element analysis theory.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study on the microstructure and corrosion resistance of ZrO2-containing ceramic coatings formed on magnesium alloy by plasma electrolytic oxidation

TL;DR: In this article, ZrO 2 -containing ceramic coatings were prepared on AZ91D magnesium alloy by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) technique in three different zirconate electrolytes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure and photocatalytic properties of WO3/TiO2 composite films by plasma electrolytic oxidation

TL;DR: WO 3 /TiO 2 composite films were prepared by plasma electrolytic oxidation in electrolytes containing different tungstate concentration as discussed by the authors, and morphology, topography, compositions, crystal structure and photophysical properties of films were characterized by SEM, AFM, EDX, XRD, XPS, UV-vis DRS and PL, the surface acidity of films was investigated by ATR-IR.
