Simple and efficient frequency offset tracking and carrier phase recovery algorithms in single carrier transmission systems.
TL;DR: A low-complexity and efficient carrier recovery algorithm for single carrier transmission systems that is capable of tracking frequency offset (FO) variations and carrier phase recovery (CPR) using only one of the streams in a parallelized configuration, and the carrier information is applied to recover neighbouring streams directly.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Impact of intra-channel fiber nonlinearity on reduced-guard-interval CO-OFDM transmission
TL;DR: In this paper, a reduced-guard-interval (RGI) CO-OFDM system showed a unique dependence on the training symbol design in the presence of intra-channel nonlinearities.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Experimental demonstration of pilot-aided polarization recovery, frequency offset and phase noise mitigation
TL;DR: This work proposes and experimentally demonstrate polarization demultiplexing, frequency offset and phase noise compensation using an electrically inserted pilot for 28 Gbaud PDM-QPSK and reports excellent back-to-back and transmission performances.
Journal ArticleDOI
ROADM-Induced Anomaly Localization and Evaluation for Optical Links Based on Receiver DSP and ML
Huazhi Lun,Yiwen Wu,Meng Cai,Xiaomin Liu,Ruoxuan Gao,Mengfan Fu,Lilin Yi,Weisheng Hu,Qunbi Zhuge +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed to use artificial neural network (ANN) and Gaussian process regression (GPR) to localize the soft failure location and estimate anomaly value.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Single Wavelength 480 Gb/s Direct Detection Transmission Over 80 km SSMF Enabled by Stokes Vector Receiver and Reduced-Complexity SSBI Cancellation
Thang M. Hoang,Qunbi Zhuge,Zhenping Xing,Mohammed Y. S. Sowailem,Mohamed Morsy-Osman,David V. Plant +5 more
TL;DR: A 4-dimensional modulation direct detection system based on Stokes vector receiver and a novel reduced-complexity SSBI cancellation algorithm for signal linearization is experimentally demonstrated.
