Ureterocele is a well-known pathologic entity in the pediatric urology population but remains a diagnostic and treatment challenge in the adult population. Adult ureteroceles remain a diagnostic challenge for the adult urologist. Its prevalence is estimated between 1/500 and 1/4000 patients with a wide variety of clinical presentations. We present the case of a 30-year-old female patient who presented with severe lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and acute urinary retention secondary to prolapsing bilateral single-system orthotopic ureteroceles. She was successfully treated with transurethral unroofing of her bilateral ureteroceles and she is currently asymptomatic. This case represents the first reported case of bilateral ureteroceles presenting with severe LUTS and subsequent urinary retention from the prolapse of one of the ureteroceles. We provide a review of the most recent case series of adult ureteroceles and their outcomes. Transurethral unroofing of the ureterocele is a safe and minimally invasive approach for this disease.

Endoscopic incision is a good management option for orthotopic ureterocele. But most of the literature has shown its efficacy only in children. We have done this retrospective study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of endoscopic incision of orthotopic ureterocele in adults. From March 2004 to January 2008, at our center, 26 adults underwent transurethral, transverse incision of an ureterocele. The perioperative data of these patients were retrospectively analyzed. The literature was reviewed to identify all the reported options for management of this relatively rare condition in adults. Unilateral ureterocele was present in 24 patients and two patients had bilateral ureterocele. One patient had associated upper tract stones. Three patients had associated stones in ureterocele. Transurethral, transverse incision of ureterocele was given in all patients. The mean postoperative hospital stay was 50.5 h. Twenty-three patients were available for follow-up at three, six and 12 months. All patients were symptom free. At three months ultrasound and intravenous urography revealed no residual ureterocele but four patients showed residual hydronephrosis, but with a decrease in the grade indicating decompression. Micturating cystourethrography revealed vesico-ureteral reflux (VUR) in two patients and the reflux persisted in one patient even at 6 months. We conclude that in adults, management with endoscopic incision of orthotopic ureterocele is safe and effective. VUR may occur in a few cases.

The purpose of the study was “Comparison of motivation and mental toughness between India and Sri Lanka female Volleyball players”. The subject for this study was 12th South Asian Games 2016, which was organized by India in Guwahati (Assam). Total 24 (Thirty) female Vollleyball players, 12 players of India and 12 player of Sri Lanka were (20-35 years of age) selected. The sports motivation scale (sms28) developed by Luc G. Pelletier, Michelle Fortier, and the Sports Mental Toughness Questionnaire developed by ADr. Alan Goldberg (2012) were selected for this. The selected variables were motivation and mental toughness. The obtained data were analyzed by applying independent‘t’ test in order to comparison of motivation and mental toughness differential between India and Sri Lanka female Volleyball players. Further, the level of significance was set at 0.05 level of confidence. The finding of the study reveals that there was no significant difference was found in case of motivation and mental toughness between India and Sri Lanka female Volleyball players may be due to the reason both teams undergone with the high training schedule, good intellectual ability, very high fitness level, more highly motivated to win the Gold medal in 1th South Asian Games. They might have equal level of experience in terms of competition which must have been probable cause for the insignificant difference
