Journal ArticleDOI

Ethylene from ethanol over zeolite catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the incorporation of Zn and Mn into ZSM-5 zeolite led to very selective catalysts for the ethanol dehydration, which produced mainly ethylene with small quantity of other light olefins.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conversion of ethanol in aqueous solution over ZSM-5 zeolites: study of the reaction network

TL;DR: In this article, a reaction intermediate for the conversion of aqueous ethanol over steam-treated ZSM-5 and the asbestos-derived ZSM5 zeolites at reaction temperatures below 260-270°C was confirmed, and a pathway for direct conversion toethylene was also present under these conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhancement of the aromatizing activity of ZSM-5 zeolite induced by hydrogen back-spillover : Aromatizing the outstream gases of a propane steam-cracker☆

TL;DR: In this article, a new complex H-ZSM-5 zeolite was used for converting light olefinic and paraffinic gases obtained from the steam-cracking of propane.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conversion of ethanol in aqueous solution over ZSM-5 zeolites: Influence of Reaction Parameters and Catalyst Acidic Properties as Studied by Ammonia TPD Technique

TL;DR: Asbestos-derived ZSM-5 and steam-treated ZSM5 zeolites have been found to be very active and selective in the conversion of aqueous ethanol to ethene at about 300°C, attributed to a moderate surface acid density of these catalyst which seem to be suitable for the Bioethanol-to-Ethylene process as discussed by the authors.
