—The purpose of this study was to look at the attitudes of students at Junior High School 5 Muaro Jambi and Junior High School 6 Muaro Jambi in science subjects. The number of samples used was 921 students in Junior High School 5 Muaro Jambi and Junior High School Junior High School 6 Muaro Jambi who used total sampling techniques. The method used was quantitative and qualitative, or what is often referred to as the MixedMethod approach, precisely explanatory mixed-method design. The instrument used was a questionnaire followed by an interview. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistics that will display the mean, median and mode. Based on the results of research that has been done, it was found that students' attitudes on social implications, scientist normality, attitudes toward science inquiry, and interest in increasing science learning time were positive results. Where the attitude of students in junior high school Muaro Jambi 5 and Junior High School 6 Muaro Jambi in the good category.

Learning In Nature Science: Social Implications, Normality Of Scientist, Attitudes Towards Investigation Of Natural Science, And Interest Adds To Science Learning Time

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran fisika melalui indikator adopsi sikap ilmiah, ketertarikan dalam memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika dan ketertarikan berkarir dibidang fisika di SMA Ferdy Ferry Putra Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian survei dengan  instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 125 siswa. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh dari indikator adopsi sikap ilmiah dengan kategori baik berpersentase 55.2%. Indikator ketertarikan dalam memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika dan ketertarikan berkarir dibidang fisika berkategori cukup berpersentase 72% dan 68%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, siswa di SMA Ferdy Ferry Putra Kota Jambi memiliki sikap yang cukup terhadap fisika.

Deskripsi Sikap Siswa: Adopsi Sikap Ilmiah, Ketertarikan Memperbanyak Waktu Belajar Fisika dan Ketertarikan Berkarir di Bidang Fisika

Purpose: This paper presents junior high school students' attitudes and self-confidence in learning natural science, and compares the attitudes and self-confidence based on location of school in urban and rural areas, and finds whether attitudes can affect students' self-confidence. Methodology: The study used mixed method with sequential explanatory. A sample of this study is 926 students with 511 for urban junior high school and 415 for rural junior high school usage total sampling technique. Data were then analyzed with the help of the SPSS 21 application to find descriptive statistics in terms of mean, min, max, and simple regression and independent sample t-test. Finding: Both of school location in urban and rural area, shows that attitudes and self-confidence of the students was good category, but when comparing that results, independent sample t- shows if students attitude and self-confidence in urban schools tend more higher than in rural schools (p<0.001). Lastly, the regression shows if the level of contribution or influence of students' attitudes towards students’ self-confidence is as much as 75.2 % which means that students' attitudes affect students’ self-confidence. Novelty: in this study, it was found that students' attitudes affect self-confidence of students’ in learning natural sciences. Moreover, comparison between students' attitudes and self-confidence is based on their school location in urban or rural.

Attitude and Self-confidence Students in Learning Natural Sciences: Rural and Urban Junior High School

The purpose of this research is to find out the comparison of students' attitudes towards physics and the results of the student attitudes description by using indicators of scientist normality, scientific attitudes adoption and a career interest in physics at SMA Ferdy Ferry Putra Kota Jambi and SMAN 6 Batang Hari. This type of research is quantitative using survey research procedures where the instruments used are questionnaires. The subjects of this study were 281 students consisting of 125 students from SMA Ferdy Ferry Putra Kota Jambi and 156 students from SMAN 6 Batang Hari. Quantitative data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential statistics. The results are indicator of the scientists normality towards physics which has differences in each school, which amounted to 65.6% and 44.9% with sufficient and good categories. For the indicator of the most dominant scientific attitudes adoption is categorized as good with a percentage of 62.4% and 64.1%, respectively. Then the indicators of career interest in physics also have similarities in each school, namely sufficient categories with a percentage of 68% and 66%. Based on these results, students at SMA Ferdy Ferry Putra Kota Jambi have sufficient attitudes towards learning physics. While at SMAN 6 Batang Hari students have good attitudes towards learning physics.

Review of Educational Psychology: Attitudes towards Physics

Purpose: Affective aspect is one of the aspects that is very calculated at this time. Therefore, this study aims to see whether there is a relationship between attitude and independence and self-confidence of students in the thematic learning of students in primary schools. Method: This type of research is associative quantitative research with correlational design. Where the total number of samples from this study was 130 students with details of 60 male students and 70 female students taken based on purposive sampling techniques. The data were then analyzed with the help of the SPSS 21 application to look for descriptive statistics in the form of mean, min, and max as well as the relationship between attitudes and interests. Findings: From the results of the analysis that has been done, it is found that there is an attitude with independence and good student confidence shown by the dominance of the good category and strengthened by the existence of a relationship between students' attitudes and independence in thematic learning and students' attitudes and confidence in thematic learning.

Attitudes, Self-confidence, and Independence of Students in Thematic Learning

Purpose: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between motivation and attitudes of students towards physics subjects in high school. Method: The type of research used is quantitative descriptive with correlational design. The data used by researchers were in the form of questionnaires/motivational questionnaires and attitudes with a total of 54 statements for attitude questionnaires and 23 statements for motivational questionnaires using liker scale 5. Data Analysis: using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings: the results of this study researchers get good results and enough attitudes towards physics investigation, adoption of scientific attitudes pleasure in learning physics, interested in participating in physics learning activities, believe that he has the ability of physics, and enjoy working on physics tasks good enough, this is in accordance with the analysis of the relationship that has been done, that there is a relationship between motivation and student attitudes toward physics subjects, with details, at level 1 the correlation coefficient is 0.318, then at level 2 is 0.862 and at level 3 is -0.56, at level 1 has a low positive relationship, level 2 has a strong positive relationship, while at level 3 has a moderate negative relationship.
