Abstract: A mechanism is described for outsourcing context-aware application-related activities to a sensor hub. A method of embodiments of the invention includes outsourcing a plurality of functionalities from an application processor to a sensor hub processor of a sensor hub by configuring the sensor hub processor, and performing one or more context-aware applications using one or more sensors coupled to the sensor hub processor.

Abstract: A portable consumer device, such as a mobile phone or a tablet computer, may be configured to collect measurements data associated with at least one of movement of the portable consumer device or orientation of the portable consumer device, as well as data associated with an external environment of the portable consumer device. The collected data may be evaluated in order to determine motion of the portable consumer device over time and contextual information associated with the portable consumer device. A user activity may be determined based upon the determined motion and the determined contextual information. As desired, the user activity may be evaluated in association with a suitable application scenario, such as a gaming application scenario.

The method may also include evaluating a signal quality of a radio signal received by a signal module and altering an operational mode of the signal module based on the signal quality and the first activity.

Abstract: Technology scaling leads to reduction of supply voltage and increase in random device variability and thus creates new challenges for analog design. A complete overhaul of the design approach at system architecture and circuit topology levels is necessary to keep the link robust and tolerant to low supply voltage and random variability challenges.
