An electrical distribution system comprising one or more tracks having current-carrying conductors and ground conductor for mounting on wall surfaces. The tracks are slidingly received in connecting slots of electrical connector housings to connect the tracks to electrical outlets, or to interconnect sections of tracks together. More particularly, with the present invention it is not necessary to strip the ends of the tracks to expose connector ends to interconnect them with terminals in the connector housings. An end portion of the track is merely slid within a connecting slot of the housing. Electrical receptacles are also connected at any desired location along the track. The electrical distribution track can also be incorporated in an extruded baseboard together with a telephone line track to permit connection thereto of electrical receptacles as well as alarm systems, telephone jacks, fire detectors, surge protectors, etc.

Electric distributing system

A track lighting assembly includes a coupler to join tracks which is movable through a plurality of angles. The assembly also comprises an adapter which allows for flush mounting of the track wherein the fixture adapters may be moved along the track despite the flush mounting of the track.

Track lighting assembly

An electric power connector comprises a mating male plug portion (30) and a co-acting female receptacle portion (10). The male plug portion (30) comprises a blade having first and second thickness tier regions (34,38) with a rounded front end (32) and a rounded shoulder transition (36) between the tier regions. A trailing edge (40) of the blade extends from one surface of the second tier region (38) and is adapted for delivery of electrical power. The female receptacle portion (10) comprises a bar (12) of conductive material having a first and second pair of parallel rows of multi-point spring contacts (14,16). The first pair row (14) is adapted to mate with the first tier region (34) of the male plug portion, and the second pair row (16) extends past the first pair row (14) and is adapted to mate with the second tier region (38).

Electrical power connector

A flexible track for use in a track lighting system which includes two elongated track members mounted back-to-back which can be manually set and secured into a desired curved configuration. The elongated flexible track members are parallel and adjacent to each other with conductors positioned in channels on the lateral faces of the flexible track, capable of engaging one or more light fixtures. Each track member can slide relative to the other creating a mechanism that allows for large or small diameter curves of the flexible track.

A multiple circuit track lighting system comprises a track carrying electrical conductors and a connector mechanically engageable with the track for support and for supporting a lighting fixture. The connector is rotatable with respect to the track to effect an electrical connection between it and either of two electrical circuits carried by the track and is releasably latched in either positon.

A PLUG IS PROVIDED WITH A PLURALITY OF CONTACT FINGERS. THE FINGERS ARE RESILIENTLY SUPPORTED SO AS TO BE MOVABLE FROM A RETRACTED POSITION INSIDE THE PLUG BODY TO AN EXTENDED POSITION TO ENGAGE THE CONDUCTORS AND THE GROUNDED LEAD OF THE PLUG. ECCENTRICS ARE SUPPORTED IN THE PLUG BODY AND ARE ENGAGEABLE WITH THE FINGERS TO SELECTIVELY DISPLACE SAME. A KNOB IS PROVIDED EXTERNALLY OF THE PLUG AND IS COUPLED WITH EACH OF THE ECCENTRICS TO SIMULTANEOUSLY DISPLACE ALL OF THE ECCENTRICS.

Cable duct for cables and cords and outlet boxes to be connected to them. The cable duct (1) comprises a case-like channel track (3) forming a cable space (4) for cables and cords (12) and an installation slot (6) for outlet boxes (2, 2′), and a cover plate (7) covering the installation slot. In order to simplify the connection of outlet boxes to the cables, a conductor rail (9) including fixed longitudinal bare current conductors (11) is provided in the cable space (4) of the channel track (3) for electrically connecting the outlet boxes (2) to a power current network.

An angle piece for a contact rail of U-shaped section and provided with longitudinal conductors. The L-shaped angle piece can be pushed into the groove of two contact rails forming an angle between them, thereby establishing contact between the conductors of the two rails via contact fingers provided on an installation component of the angle piece supported by a body portion. The installation component can be shifted in relation to the body portion diagonally so as to adjust the relative position of the contact fingers to flanks of the body portion.

An electric current supply conduit comprising a metal support rail of substantially U-shaped cross-section forming an open longitudinal channel. The support rail is provided with longitudinally extending current conductors fastened at the opposite side walls of the support rail. The ends of the current conductors are bent to project angularly, preferably perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal direction of the support rail inwardly into said open channel of the support rail.
