The invention illustrates and describes an electrical connection terminal having a housing (2), two clamping springs (3, 3') and a current bar (4), wherein a chamber (5) is formed in the housing (2) for receiving the clamping springs (3, 3') and at least one end of the current bar (4) as well as a conductor insertion opening (6) for inserting two conductors, and wherein the clamping springs (3, 3') are arranged next to each other in relation to the longitudinal extension of the current bar (4). In the electrical connection terminal (1) according to the invention, the clamping springs (3, 3') comprise each a clamping limb (7), an operating limb (8) and a back (9) which connects the two limbs (7, 8) to one another, wherein the clamping limbs (7), together with the current bar (4), form in each case a clamping point for a stripped conductor that is to be connected. Moreover, a spring receptacle (10) is provided within the chamber (5), which has a partition (11), the two clamping springs (3, 3') being disposed on a respective side of the partition (11).

A wall-mountable programmable electronic thermostat for controlling an HVAC system is described. The thermostat includes a circular wall-mountable backplate with a central opening to allow for the passage of HVAC wires for electrical connection to the thermostat. The head unit body is also circular and is removeably mountable to the back plate. A plurality of wedge-shaped wiring terminals are mounted on the backplate for making a tool-free connection to HVAC wires. Each wiring terminal has button that a user can depress while a wire is inserted in a wire hole. The terminals are arranged along one or more circular arcs about the central opening of the backplate such that the wire holes face the central opening and the buttons are located close to the outer periphery of the backplate.

A single element electrical connector includes a single conductive contact element formed into a cage structure having a wire insert end and a wire contact end along a longitudinal centerline axis of the connector. The cage structure defines an upper pick-up surface having a surface area suitable for placement of a suction nozzle of a vacuum transfer device, as well as a pair of contact tines biased towards the centerline axis to define a contact pinch point for an exposed core of a wire inserted into the connector. A contact surface is defined by a member of the cage structure for electrical mating contact with a respective contact element on a component on which the connector is mounted.

A network cable jack includes a printed circuit board (PCB) for balancing both inductive and capacitive coupling. Using a PCB allows compact trace paths to be formed without significantly increasing manufacturing costs. By including on each trace path two distinct inductance zones separated by a neutral zone, significant gains in degrees of freedom are achieved for designing PCB trace patterns in which a pair of inductive coupling zones jointly offset the inductive coupling caused by a specification plug and the jack contacts, both in magnitude and phase angle. Further, using distinct inductance zones offers more freedom regarding the placement of capacitive plates for use in capacitance balancing as well as the placement of terminals and insulation displacement contacts. Although the magnitude of a capacitive coupling is determined by the length of the capacitor plates parallel to current carrying traces, the approach allows capacitive and inductive coupling to be balanced independently.

The invention relates to a spring-cage terminal block, having a bus bar and a leg spring for connecting a stripped conductor end piece of an electrical conductor, wherein the conductor end piece is inserted into a material passage of the bus bar and is clamped by means of the leg spring. According to the invention, the contact surface on the metal collar inner wall surface of the material passage has contact ribs extending along the insertion direction in order to form a linear contact pattern which extends in the insertion direction.

The invention relates to a spring terminal block, comprising a bus bar and a leg spring for connecting a stripped conductor end piece of an electric conductor, wherein the conductor end piece is inserted into a material passage of the bus bar and is clamped by means of the leg spring. According to the invention, the contact surface on the metal collar of the inner wall surface of the material passage comprises contact ribs extending along the direction of insertion, in order to form a line-shaped contact pattern extending in the direction of insertion.
