TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive pump mathematical model is developed and experimentally validated, which can be used as a design tool in order to fully exploit the advantages of the new design.
Abstract: Electrically controlled swash plate axial piston pumps with conical cylinder blocks are recently used in the industry in view of their superior performance. Several studies have been carried out to study the characteristics of such novel pump mechanism. In these studies, partial mathematical modeling is conducted relevant to the points discussed. In the present study, a comprehensive pump mathematical model is developed and experimentally validated. The model could be used as a design tool in order to fully exploit the advantages of the new design.

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved model for the switching response of torsional micromirrors by including the effect of counter electrostatic field in addition to the main field was proposed, and it was also proposed to include a stopper electrode in order to obtain 90° tilting angle for optical switching applications.

TL;DR: In this article, first-order Sugeno models are proposed to model the relationship between the different cutting parameters and the resulting cylindricity error, which gives the machine operator the opportunity to predict the best parameters for a given set of cutting parameters.
Abstract: In this paper, first order Sugeno models are proposed to model the relationship between the different cutting parameters and the resulting cylindricity error. This gives the machine operator the opportunity to predict cylindricity for a given set of cutting parameters. Hence, the best parameters can be picked to achieve the best cylindricity. A second model shows that the cutting parameters should vary while drilling in order to reduce the whirling mode. As the amplitude of whirling is reduced, this leads to better cylindricity.

TL;DR: In this article, a mathematical model is formulated for a 9-piston swash plate pump with conical cylinder block in order to evaluate the dynamic loads on the drive shaft.
Abstract: Variable displacement swash plate pumps are invariably used under conditions that involve heavy loads with variable flow demands. Swash plate pumps with conical cylinder blocks are now widely used in view of their good static and dynamic characteristics. However, drive shafts of these pumps experience dynamic loads due to the pressure forces transmitted through the body of the conical cylinder block to the supporting bearings. Dynamics of such rotating mechanism are quite interesting and should be considered in the design process of the drive shaft and the supporting bearings. A mathematical model is formulated for a 9-piston swash plate pump with conical cylinder block in order to evaluate the dynamic loads on the drive shaft. Results are presented and discussed.
