In one embodiment, a method comprises identifying, by an orchestrator executed by a physical machine, a plurality of virtualized network functions required for implementation of a virtualized network service for a customer, each virtualized network function having a corresponding and distinct virtualized container specifying attributes for defining execution of the corresponding virtualized network function within one or more physical machines; and setting by the orchestrator an interdependency indicator within each virtualized container based on association with the virtualized network service, enabling identification of each of the virtualized network functions as interdependent for coordinated execution of the virtualized network service.

Defining interdependent virtualized network functions for service level orchestration

A remote browsing process is directed to the generation and management of a remote persistent browsing context at a network computing provider. A client computing device requests a remote persistent browsing context instance at a network computing provider. Remote browsing session management

Embodiments perform automatic selection of hosts and/or datastores for deployment of a plurality of virtual machines (VMs) while monitoring and recovering from errors during deployment. Resource constraints associated with the VMs are compared against resources or characteristics of available hosts and datastores. A VM placement engine selects an optimal set of hosts/datastores and initiates VM creation automatically or in response to administrator authorization. During deployment, available resources are monitored enabling dynamic improvement of the set of recommended hosts/datastores and automatic recovery from errors occurring during deployment.

In one embodiment, a method detects a failure of a container in a controller node where the container includes a service being performed and isolated from other services being performed in other containers on the controller node. The controller node terminates the container including the service and determines a known state for the service. The known state is known to be operational without including a cause of the failure and the service operated from the known state saving changes to the known state during operation separately from the known state. The controller node restarts the service in a new container that replaces the terminated container where the restarted service starts from the known state without using the changes.

Next, the system calculates a set of component revenues associated with a set of service components and a set of resources used by the software offering by applying the total revenue and the weight vectors to the multidimensional model. Finally, the system uses the component revenues to facilitate management of the software offering.
