A review of the causes of bullwhip effect in a supply chain

TL;DR: A review of the past research studies on the causes of bullwhip effect is presented in this paper, where the authors identified the various gaps of research in the past studies and provided an overview of the steps taken by the industries in order to tackle the bull whip effect.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solving a tri-objective supply chain problem with modified NSGA-II algorithm

TL;DR: In this paper, a modification of an existing MOEA known as Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II (NSGA-II) has been applied on a tri-objective problem for a two echelon serial supply chain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solving conflicting bi-objective facility location problem by NSGA II evolutionary algorithm

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm (MOEA) known as non-dominated sorting algorithm (NSGA II) was used to solve the facility location problem with two conflicting objectives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solving multi-objective parallel machine scheduling problem by a modified NSGA-II

TL;DR: The modified NSGA-II is observed to perform better than the original NS GA-II and the proposed mutation algorithm also works effectively, as evident from the experimental results.
Journal ArticleDOI

Applying modified NSGA-II for bi-objective supply chain problem

TL;DR: A new multi-objective formulation for minimizing the total cost and minimizing the bullwhip effect of a two-echelon serial supply chain through developing a new non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II (NSGA-II) and it is found that the modified NSGA- II algorithm performs better than the original NS GA-II algorithm since the minimum values for both total costs and the bullWhip effect are obtained.
