Semi-analytic integration for a parallel space-time boundary element method modeling the heat equation.

TL;DR: This work provides temporal antiderivatives of the heat kernel necessary for the assembly of BEM matrices and the evaluation of the representation formula allowing researchers to reuse the formulae and BEM routines straightaway.

A parallel fast multipole method for a space-time boundary element method for the heat equation.

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel approach to the parallelization of the parabolic fast multipole method for a space-time boundary element method for the heat equation is presented, which exploits the special temporal structure of the involved operators to provide an efficient distributed parallelization with respect to time and with a one-directional communication pattern.

Complexity Analysis of a Fast Directional Matrix-Vector Multiplication

TL;DR: A fast, data-sparse directional method to realize matrix-vector products related to point evaluations of the Helmholtz kernel based on a hierarchical partitioning of the point sets and the matrix is considered.

An integration by parts formula for the bilinear form of the hypersingular boundary integral operator for the transient heat equation in three spatial dimensions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide a rigorous proof of a general version of the integration by parts formula and an alternative representation of the mentioned integral term, which is valid for a certain class of functions including the typical tensor-product discretization spaces.
