Sources and Delivery of Nutrients to the Northwestern Gulf of Mexico from Streams in the South-Central United States.

TL;DR: Estimated nutrient inputs to the northwestern part of the Gulf of Mexico from streams in the South-Central United States from SPARROW models indicated that the three largest sources of nitrogen from the region were atmospheric deposition, commercial fertilizer, and livestock manure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of Ann Agnps Nitrogen Loading in AN Agricultural Watershed

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the ANNAGNPS 2.0 model to estimate watershed response to agricultural management practices and found that the predicted nitrogen loading is not significantly different from observed nitrogen loading at the 95 percent level of confidence.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phosphorus losses from agricultural watersheds in the Mississippi Delta.

TL;DR: Results indicate that applying P fertilizer in the spring may be recommended to reduce potential ortho-P loss during the fallow winter season; in addition, conservation practices may reduce potential TP loss associated with soil loss.
