A mounting assembly (70c) for installing solar cell or photovoltaic modules (58) on a building surface (34) is disclosed. The mounting assembly (70c) includes a mounting device (74), a stud (114) that may be threaded to the mounting device (74), a clamping member (142) that may be positioned on the stud (114), and a nut (128) that may be threaded onto the stud (114) to secure the clamping member (142) to the mounting device (74). A mounting plate (110') is disposed somewhere between the clamping member (142) and the mounting device (74). This mounting plate (110') includes a raised structure or dome (174) on its upper surface (170) for positionally registering modules (58) thereto, a plurality of grounding projections (172) on this same upper surface (170), and a plurality of wiring tabs or clips (178) on its lower surface (176).

Photovoltaic module mounting assembly

A system for mounting wall panels to a wall, includes wall panels, each including a main wall panel, and at least two bent end sections with a cut-out section and a wall thickness; and a plurality of main fastening extrusions, each including a base section to be secured to the wall, and two parallel, spaced apart flexible and resilient bent end securing walls extending from the base section, each bent end securing wall including a projection facing the other bent end securing wall, the bent end securing walls spaced apart corresponding to the wall thickness of two bent end sections, such that pressing of the bent end sections into the spacing between the bent end securing walls causes biasing away of the bent end securing walls until the projections engage in respective cut-out sections with the bent end sections being at least in near abutting relation.

System for mounting wall panels to a wall structure

A wall panel system including a mounting bracket, a wall panel, and a clip attached to the wall panel, the clip having an engaging element that secures it to the mounting bracket. The wall panel system also includes a slot in the clip facing outwardly from the wall panel, a spline slidably positioned in the slot of the clip, and a sealing insert positioned between the mounting bracket and the spline. The sealing insert may be in the shape of an X, and may be made from polypropylene foam. The sealing insert may also have a gasket tape on one side to provide an improved seal.

A dry joint wall panel attachment system is provided. The system uses interlocking components to attach aluminum (or other) wall panels to an exterior wall. The system is held together non-adhesively.

A multi-piece clamp (102) for installation on a standing seam (14) is disclosed. One component of the clamp (102) is a clamp body (106) with a clamp body slot (122) formed therein. This slot (122) may be mounted on a standing seam (14) without having to slide the clamp body (106) onto an end of the seam (14). Another component of the clamp (102) is an insert(s)(142) that may be disposed within the clamp body slot (122) between a clamp body slot wall (126) and the standing seam (14). One or more seam fasteners (14) may be directed through the clamp body (106) and a clamp body slot wall (126a) to secure each of the inserts (142) within the clamp body slot (122) by a compression of the same, and further to secure the clamp (102) to the standing seam (14).

Multi-piece clamp for standing seams

A curtain wall (ACM) system has vertical mullions and horizontal supports which provide a dry as well as a structural system for non-sequential construction of curtain wall exteriors. Internal gutters offer a failsafe moisture proof system. The horizontal and vertical framework members may be mounted in the reverse orientation for special exterior wall configurations. Individual panels can be replaced without sealants or tear down of neighboring panels. A face support for the thin ACM panels is provided. Thermal expansion is addressed with a floating panel on a track design. Alternate embodiment includes transition frame members having glass and metal panel integral supports, freestanding X-Y sub-frame assemblies, fiber optic outboard channels and novel methods of assembly.

Curtain wall support method and apparatus

Both positive and negative wind loads acting on the surfaces of standing seam roofing often exceed the design capabilities of a particular metal roof, causing the standing seam interlocking vertical seams to disengage. This often results in the roof panels blowing off the roof, causing damage to the roof, the building contents and possible danger to people in the vicinity. A transverse bar is provided across the standing seams of the metal roof. Clamps hold the transverse bar onto the standing seams. At the midsection of each flat panel section of the metal roof a brace descends from the transverse bar. The brace must have a flexible foot member to press down on the panel, otherwise the brace would puncture or otherwise damage metal roof panel. The brace may have an adjustable height adjustment mechanism. Various clamp, bar and foot embodiments are disclosed, all of which provide a structural anti-lift bracket on the roof panel.
