This anxiety, if not treated, can hinder the treatment process, and the length of treatment will increase. This study aims to determine the effect of health promotion using audio-visual media and simulations on the anxiety of hospitalized children in Mimika, Papua, Indonesia. The research used a quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample used the control and intervention groups with 24 people in each group, the sampling technique used consecutive sampling. The instruments used were animated videos about medical devices and procedures, medical devices for simulation, standard operating procedures, observation sheets, and the Modified Yale Preoperative Anxiety Scale (mYPAS) anxiety questionnaire. Bivariate analysis is Paired T-Test and Independent T-Test: The intervention group decreased the average posttest anxiety score more than the control group (30.0>5.4). Bivariate test between gender and age with anxiety showed p<0.05. The pretest-posttest comparison in the control and intervention groups was p=0.343 and p=0.000. At the same time, the comparison of posttest between the control and intervention groups showed p=0.002. Age and gender are related to the anxiety of pediatric patients. Hospitalization of children, either directly or indirectly affects their psychological aspects. It even creates a crisis. Parents as close figures have an important role to accompany and provide encouragement so that they can minimize the impact of hospitalization. The study was conducted to determine the relationship between parental participation and the impact of hospitalization of children who were treated at the hospital. Lebak Mission. The study was designed as a correlational study with a cross sectional approach. The research sample was 53 children. The instrument is a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by Chi-Square test and Mann-Whitney test. There is a significant relationship between the role of parents and the impact of hospitalization on children at the Lebak Mission Hospital, as shown from the Chi-Square test results obtained p-value = 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. Partially there is a significant relationship between the characteristics of children and the characteristics of parents with the impact of hospitalization, as indicated by the p-value which is smaller than 0.05. Meanwhile, the characteristics of age and parental education do not have a relationship, because the p-value is greater than 0.05. There is a significant relationship between parental participation and the impact of hospitalization on children at the Lebak Mission Hospital. the need for better nurse involvement so that the negative impact of hospitalization on children can be minimized.

Hubungan Peran Serta Orang Tua dan Dampak Hospitalisasi pada Anak Prasekolah

Introduction: Hospitalization is a crisis that occurs in children when they are sick and hospitalized. Pre-school children who undergo hospitalization try to adapt to the hospital environment so that it will be a stressor for both children and parents which can cause anxiety. The reactions shown by pre-school children who underwent hospitalization were rebellious, issued inappropriate words, and were less cooperative when nursing actions were carried out. The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of hospitalization on pre-school children (aged 3-6 years) in the Anggrek Room of the Regional General Hospital of Tabanan Regency.
Methods: This research is a quantitative descriptive study using a cross sectional approach, respondents were selected by purposive sampling with a sample of 30 pre-school children using an observation sheet.
Results: This study shows that the description of the impact of hospitalization on pre-school children in the Anggrek Room is in the high category of 19 respondents (63.3%) and in the low category of 11 respondents (36.7%). It was also found that most of those who were treated were aged 3 years as many as 14 respondents (47.6%), male sex as many as 17 (56.7%), most of whom are only children (50%), have parents, most of whom have high school education (63.4%), some have undergone hospitalization (50%), and some with chronic disease (50%).
Conclusion: The impact of hospitalization on school children (aged 3-6 years) in the Orchid Room of the Regional General Hospital of Tabanan Regency is in the high category.

Dampak Hospitalisasi Pada Anak Prasekolah di Ruang Anggrek Badan Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Tabanan

Disease and hospitalization are often the main crises that children face, causing the child to experience trauma. The phenomenon of separation and experience of hospitalized children shows when a child is hospitalized will experience a change in emotional status, as well as parents crying, anxious, angry. Preschool age is very susceptible to the effects of tress during hospitalization, so there is a need for family support. The objective of the study was to explore the support of the family in order to decrease the hospitalization of preschool children in the orchid room of RSUD Nganjuk. The research method used qualitative research with phenomenological approach. Data collection using primary and secondary data then conducted in-depth interviews (indepth interview) with semi-structured questions. Informants as many as 5 people according to the inclusion criteria that researchers make are families who have preschool children, long day 1-3 care, family as the main caregiver, children with medical diagnosis group of internal medicine, children do not have terminal disease, the family is willing to become informants. The results show that family support includes informational support, assessment support, emotional support and instrumental support. But the support has not been maximal because it is influenced by the reaction of children and parents who are varied towards hospitalization along with influencing factors such as child adaptation process, the existence of rooming in, sibling reaction. The conclusion of the study was family support during the effort to decrease the hospitalization reactions of preschool children. Based on these studies it is necessary to conduct further research on family support in reducing the impact of pre-school children's hospitalization.
