A catalogue of the subfamily Lamiinae (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) of the Neotropical region is presented. The tribes (36), genera (723), species (4231) and subspecies (60) are listed in alphabetical order. Under each family-group name bibliographical references are given and under each species-group name, data on the type-locality, the acronym of the institution where the type is deposited, the geographical distribution and detailed bibliographical references are provided. Two new combinations are proposed: Urographis eucharis (Bates, 1885), new comb. and Urographis vexillaris (Bates, 1872) new comb., both from Graphisurus LeConte, 1852, not Kirby, 1837. To characterise their functional diversity and seasonal activity, dung beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea) were collected with baited pitfall traps at three sites for three years on a native grassland in southern Alberta, Canada. The total collection of 125 820 beetles comprised 12 species of which eight were of European origin. For each combination of site and year, assemblages were dominated by two or three core species of European origin that represented 70-95% of total beetles and more than 75% of total biomass, but only 10-30% of species richness. Core species consistently included Onthophagus nuchicornis (Linnaeus) and occasionally Chilothorax distinctus (Muller) and Colobopterus erraticus (Linnaeus). Coexistence of these core species appears to be facilitated by differences in their size, seasonal activity, and life history traits. Functional diversity and seasonal activity of dung beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea) on native grasslands in southern Alberta, Canada

Dung beetles are important to healthy cattle pasture ecosystems as they provide for nutrient recycling, removal of waste products from the soil surface and assist in the reduction of pestiferous flies. Numerous exotic dung beetles have been accidentally or intentionally introduced to the North American continent and several of these have become established. We surveyed for the presence and distribution of dung beetles on four cattle farms in north central Florida over a 3.5-yr period using cattle dung-baited pitfall traps placed at least every 3 wk. In total, 39 species from 20 genera were identified with a total of 62,320 beetles collected in traps. Although none were intentionally released in Florida, six exotic species were present. Significant differences were observed in species captures among the three most sampled farms, with beetle species dominance patterns differing among the farms. The native species, Onthophagus tuberculifrons Harold, was the most commonly collected species, and both it and the introduced Labarrus pseudolividus Balthasar, had mass emergences. Four of the six most commonly collected species were exotics and included, in order of abundance, L pseudolividus, O. gazella (F.), O. taurus (Schreber), and Euoniticellus intermedius (Reiche).

Indigenous and Exotic Dung Beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae and Geotrupidae) Collected in Florida Cattle Pastures

. The East Asian buprestid Agrilus smaragdifrons Ganglbauer is reported for the first time in the Western Hemisphere. Specimens of this species taken from emerald ash borer (A. planipennis Fairmaire) monitoring traps in New Jersey in 2015–2016 suggest establishment of this metallic wood-boring beetle in the northeastern United States. The earliest known record of A. smaragdifrons in the U.S. is based on a verifiable image found on BugGuide, from a specimen collected in Hudson County, New Jersey in June 2011. Diagnostic information and high-resolution images of the adult male, female, and the male aedeagus are provided to help facilitate the recognition of this adventive buprestid from other North American Agrilus. A summary of information about the host plant (Ailanthus altissima), native distribution, and biology are given, and all known North American records are listed and mapped.

First North American Records of the Eastasian Metallic Wood-Boring Beetle Agrilus smaragdifrons Ganglbauer (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Agrilinae), a Specialist on Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima, Simaroubaceae)

We present the results of an 18 mo survey of the seasonal activity and species composition of dung beetles (Scarabaeidae: Scarabaeinae and Aphodiinae and Geotrupidae: Geotrupes) from a cattle pasture on Crowley's Ridge, Arkansas, and of 17 additional surveys, at various localities and habitats across Arkansas. Collections at the cattle pasture comprised 236,880 beetles, representing 22 species. Labarrus pseudolividus Balthasar comprised 97.7% of the total trap catch, with the majority being collected in Jun., Jul. and Aug. 2007 which involved two separate mass occurrences during that time. From all surveys, we documented 22 state records, of which Colobopterus erraticus (Linnaeus) and Onthophagus taurus (Schreber) represented subtle range extensions to their known distributions, while the remaining 20 species were projected to occur in Arkansas. A checklist, distributional record and bibliography of the 64 species of dung beetles that are now known to occur in Arkansas are presented.

Surveys of Arkansas Dung Beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae and Geotrupidae): Phenologies, Mass Occurrences, State and Distributional Records

Antibothrus morimotoi Sasaji, a cocoon-forming beetle (Coccinelloidea: Bothrideridae) native to the Palearctic region, is newly reported from North America. In 2013 and 2015, several series of specimens were collected during an ongoing USDA/APHIS/PPQ exotic bark beetle survey in Franklin County, Ohio, U.S.A. This is the first confirmed record of the species and genus in the New World. The capture of these specimens suggests that the beetle is established in the greater Columbus, Ohio, metropolitan  area.

Recorded from Ohio for the first time are eleven species of Cerambycidae: Arhopalus rusticus obsoletus, Tetropium schwarzianum, Parelaphidion as­ persum, Anthophylax attenuatus, Acmaeops proteus proteus, Goes variegatus, Ataxia brunnea, Styl leptus biustus, Eutrichillus biguttatus, and Oberea fiavipes. Confirming records are given for four other species: T lloclytus gemi­ natus, Lepturges pictus, Lepturges angulatus and Plectrodera scalator. Tetropium cinnamopterum is tentatively recorded from Ohio from one speci­ men with questionable data. New biological information is prese ted for sev­ eral of the species recorded herein.

New records of Ohio long-horned beetles (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae).

Phyllophaga delphinicauda, new species (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae, Melolonthinae), is described from the eastern Sierra de Bahoruco in the Dominican Republic. Supportive taxonomic and biogeographic information is presented in a discussion of the new species' apparent relationship to Phyllophaga davidsoni Woodruff, 2004, and Phyllophaga carnegie Woodruff, 2004. The potential geographic and temporal distributions of P. delphinicauda are examined and its status as a species of conservation concern is discussed. A modification to the existing key to the Phyllophaga of Hispaniola (Woodruff 2004) is presented to accommodate this new species.

A New Species of Phyllophaga (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Melolonthinae) from the Dominican Republic

Acanthinus argentinus (Pic) is a species of Anthicidae native to Argentina and Brazil recently reported as an invasive species in the southern United States. Gimmel (2010) reported it as having been collected in Florida as early as 2003 and extended its known range into Louisiana based on specimens that he and J.-S. Park collected in coastal Louisiana in September of 2009. On a collecting trip to the states of Alabama and Georgia in June of 2011, the author collected this species in several localities, extending its known range into both of those states. The Alabama sites are approximately 97 km northeast of the nearest major port of Pensacola, Florida and remote from any major commercial traffic routes. The Georgia site is considerably further north and inland, and in conjunction with the new South Carolina record cited below, shows that the species is expanding its range with substantial speed in the natural environment. All specimens taken by the author were collected in ultraviolet blacklight traps and at light sheets utilizing both ultraviolet and mercury vapor lights. While extensive beating of foliage in the immediate light-trapping areas was conducted on the days prior to trapping, no specimens of A. argentinus were collected by that method, although various native species of Anthicidae were taken. Species determinations for all specimens cited are those of the author. Material Examined. While the Louisiana and Texas localities are coastal and near commercial shipping ports, the Mississippi and South Carolina localities are further inland and more remote from major port facilities. The collector of the Pearl River County,Mississippi specimen provided the following more precise locality data:MISSISSIPPI, Pearl River Co., 5.3 km NW Cybur, 30.6684, −89.7934, at end of Wilmon Burge Rd., 2 June 2011, blacklight, John Ott, pine & mixed hardwoods (John Ott, personal communication). Mr. Ott further stated that the site is located within a pine and mixed hardwood forest and that the nearest commercial shipping ports are located 56 km to the south at Port Bienville and 72 km to the southeast in the Gulfport area. Werner (1970) determined that the shape of the apex of the lobes of the eighth sternum of the male differed in specimens of A. argentinus from northeastern Argentina and Brazil versus western Argentina.
