Fluid circulation and heat extraction from engineered geothermal reservoirs

TL;DR: In this paper, a downhole production-well pump is employed to increase productivity by recovering more of the injected fluid at lower mean reservoir operating pressures. But, the usefulness of this strategy is limited to reservoir operating pressure below the fracture extension pressure, and may lead to excessive water losses, particularly in less-confined reservoirs.

Insight from modelling discrete fractures using GEOCRACK

TL;DR: In this article, the behavior of a numerical geothermal reservoir simulation with flow only in discrete fractures is analyzed, where the dynamics of discrete fracture behavior are coupled with the state of earth stress, fluid flow, and heat transfer.
