Abstract: Physiotherapists and injuries To the Editor: I cannot leave the letterof Dr PJ. Bath (MJA, Feb. 4, 1985) unchallenged. I have been a practising physiotherapist for the past 35 years, and during that time have received hundreds of referrals from doctors with incorrect diagnoses of injuries to the musculoskeletal system. Whether these have been the result of insufficient examination of the patient or inadequate knowledge is not for me to say; but may I suggest that Dr Bathenquirefurther into the adequacies of physiotherapy training for the diagnosis of soft-tissue injuries, and into the inadequacies of somereferring medical practitioners?
