Adopting a modern ecological view of the metropolitan landscape: the case of a greenspace system for the New York City region

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present five key ecological principles (content, context, dynamics, heterogeneity, and hierarchy) and use the New York City Metropolitan Area as a case study to illustrate how these principles might be applied to achieve specific planning goals.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Comparison of Pattern Recognition Approaches for Identification of Failure-prone Battery Cells

Robert Pirani, +1 more
TL;DR: Three numerical classification algorithms are compared in terms of their accuracy in performing classification for pre-screening battery cells as part of a pre-acceptance qualification program: support vector machine, linear discriminant analysis, and principal component analysis pre-processing followed by LDA (PCALDA).
