The Investigations of Fatigue Cracking of Laser Welded Joint with the Use of ‘FatigueVIEW’ System

TL;DR: In this paper, the possibilities of detection and measurement of fatigue crack length in welded joints made of steel of duplex type, have been presented, which enables analysis of the fatigue crack growth during fatigue tests and after their finishing in off-line mode.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strain analysis at notch root in laser welded samples using material properties of individual weld zones

TL;DR: In this article, the results of the strain analysis at a notch root in a laser-welded joint subjected to cyclically variable stresses were presented, where the examined welds were made of S355JR (PN-EN 10025-2) ferritic steel.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of laser welding power on the properties of the joint made of 1.4462 duplex stainless steel

TL;DR: In this paper, the butt welding of 14462 (2205) duplex stainless steel plates with thickness of 4'µmm was achieved by Nd:YAG laser type without the use of the filler material without using any filler material.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Analysis of Fiber and CO2 Laser Cutting Accuracy

TL;DR: In this paper, the functional properties and the cutting accuracy of items produced using fiber laser in comparison with CO2 laser were compared and the results of the analysis have demonstrated that for the same welding linear energy, more accurate cutting surface is obtained using Fiber laser cutting.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Laser Welding Parameters of DUPLEX 2205 Steel Welds on Fatigue Life

TL;DR: In this article, the results of the fatigue tests carried out on laser welded joints of DUPLEX 2205 steel (X2CrNiMoN22-5-3 according to PN-EN 10027-1:2007) were presented.
