Information and communication technology are essential for infrastructure development. Therefore, control communication plays an essential role in enabling control in changing working conditions such as environment and target position values directly affecting quality and efficiency. This research presents the application of information technology to display and control the position of Ball Beam that easily detestably. Fuzzy logic controller estimation when changing target position compared to calculating the PID controller gain using mathematical equations. This research uses a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) employing communication (M2M) network communication technology using the MQTT protocol to display real-time control results. Based on the MATLAB control simulation and experimental results demonstrating the efficacy of the control signal using fuzzy logic, the control result was better at start-up and steadystate than using the display and control with PID controller. MQTT from the test results of PLC network communication and MQTT use found that it can be applied to control applications very well.

Monitoring and Controlling of a Real-Time Ball Beam Fuzzy Predicting Based on PLC Network and Information Technologies

Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology that consists of interconnected entities (intelligent physical objects, services and software systems) via the Internet, which serve automatically and in a coordinated way in data management to achieve greater efficiency and productivity in industrial processes and contribute to improve the quality of people life. As the use of devices grows, so do the challenges for creating secure, operable, scalable and cost-effective IoT systems. The specialized literature shows interest in the application of best practices for the construction of IoT systems and so improving the compatibility of hardware and software systems, communication problems, security and privacy. This paper searchs in indexed journals in order to identify best practices and their current components to create IoT systems. The study applies a systematic literature review method implemented in six phases (planning, primary search, preliminary selection, selection, data extraction and analysis) that allows information to be extracted consistently. We obtain 97 papers applying the method to carry out the analysis. The results show there are different proposals that use some mechanism of knowledge representation for the creation or improvement IoT systems. The paper is a theoretical basis for creating better IoT systems in organizations and reducing costs.

IoT Best Practices and their components: A Systematic Literature Review

Automation is a process of increasing production and reducing the downtime of any industry. With the integration of sensor data to the cloud using an OPC-VA communication protocol, the automation becomes more prominent and interesting. However, many existing industrial controllers do not support open platform communication unified architecture (OPC-VA) and it needs an IIoT device to connect the cloud. The existing programmable logic controller in any industry have to be connected to an IIoT device through Ethernet. Sensors connected to the controller will transmit the data to the IIoT device. The transmission can also be bidirectional. In this paper, a conveyor which distributes packages is simulated in Codesys and it is visualized in a human-machine interface (HMI) screen which is in-built in the software. The hardware set-up is made with the industrial controller to execute the same. A methodology to send the data from the controller to the cloud using open platform communication unified architecture (OPC-UA) is proposed

Structured text programming to visualize the distribution of packages on a conveyor

The decline in physical, cognitive, and sensory functions for most elderly people leads to the development of several health issues such as memory loss, a tendency to fall, dizziness, and reduced ability to care for oneself independently. These can be mitigated using devices designed to monitor vital signs and human activity such as a smart band. However, the application of a smart band is characterized by a disadvantage which involves storing user data in the vendor's cloud and only one device can access the client applications. Therefore, nurses, doctors, and family members cannot simultaneously analyze data and receive alerts when abnormal conditions occur in elderly patients. This study aims to develop a system capable of monitoring the health conditions of multiple elderly individuals and sending alerts during abnormal conditions based on the heart rate value read by the smart band sensor. The process involved installing a database on the Raspberry Pi to store data while a monitoring system was built on the Node-RED platform to display elderly health data and made it accessible locally. The detection of an abnormal heart rate condition in the elderly patient leads the system to send notifications via telegram to multiple receivers registered in the system using their telegram identity.

Monitoring System for Elderly Health Care Using Smart Band, Raspberry Pi, and Node-Red

In recent years, the competition among universities has become more and more fierce, and major changes have taken place in the operating environment of universities. By analyzing the problems and causes of internal cost accounting in universities, an internal cost accounting model based on activity-based costing has been established, and cost accounting has been defined. To determine the cost driver rate and operating costs, ensure that the internal cost accounting results of universities can accurately reflect the educational costs of universities, enhance the value-added ability of educational resources and the awareness of cost control in universities, and aim to continuously reduce the internal costs of universities.

Research on Internal Cost Accounting and Control of Education System Based on Activity Based Costing

Due to the constant evolution of the technologies related to the Internet of Things and the great expansion of the protocols and devices that possibilitate their use, there is a need to enforce and to approach the study of its concepts and applications to the students of electronic engineering and technical university careers. In this work, a weather station is designed and built based on low-cost technologies, whose data can be visible through an online platform designed for this purpose. The weather station is oriented to be used in laboratory practices and for teaching of subjects related to IoT, sensing platforms, communication platforms, etc. The general objective of the low-cost weather station platform is to provide a didactic, portable and simple design for replication in classroom in order to provide a whole system from the beginning to the students. Thanks to the use of this low cost platform it was possible to perform better approach to this technology obtaining great improvements in the learning process of the students.

Didactic Prototype for Teaching the MQTT Protocol Based on Free Hardware Boards and Node-RED

Dynamically Reconfigurable FPGAs allow to accelerate the reconfiguration process downloading partial bitstreams to those areas created for that. The partial reconfiguration capability allows to share hardware resources between different tasks during the design lifecycle. In this paper we propose an algorithm based on Logic Score of preference (LSP) multicriteria decision method for floor planning, scheduling and order of deployment of these partial bitstreams during design lifecycle. The proposed method is well suited to be implemented in preemptive systems in which the deadline of a critical task can demand the preemption of a lower priority one.
