A system for microscale tensiometry and lysimetry
TL;DR: In this article, micro-ceramic cells suitable for high resolution tensiometry and lysimetry have been developed, the construction of which is described in detail, and when combined with a pressure transducer the micro ceramic cells act as tensiometer, when coupled to a vacuum collecting device they can be used as micro suction cups.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of Small Volumes of Soil Solution by Capillary Electrophoresis
Axel Göttlein,Roland Blasek +1 more
TL;DR: Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is suitable for the analysis of cations and anions, including organic acids, in soil solution as discussed by the authors, and the standard deviation of the linear calibration function is, with the exception of NH+4 and Na+ (≅ 12%), better than 6
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of phosphorus fractions in mountain soils of the Bavarian Alps by 31P NMR spectroscopy
Journal ArticleDOI
Soil Organic Matter Extraction Using Water at High Temperature and Elevated Pressure (ASE) as Compared to Conventional Methods
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the usefulness of water at high-temperature and elevated pressure for soil organic matter extraction using an Accelerated Solvent Extractor (ASE) and found that ASE extracts were enriched in aromatic and depleted in O-alkyl-C structures, strongly resembling the NaOH and Na4P2O7 extracts.
