Long-term ketamine infusion-induced cholestatic liver injury in COVID-19-associated acute respiratory distress syndrome

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated a potential dose-response relationship between ketamine and bilirubin levels and showed a causally plausible, dose-effect relationship between long-term infusion of ketamine, as well as an augmented, ketamine-associated, hazard of cholestatic liver injury in critically ill COVID-19 patients could be shown.
Journal ArticleDOI

Age-related outcome of patients after traumatic brain injury: a single-center observation.

TL;DR: Age, pre-existing cardiovascular disease, use of anticoagulants and/or antiplatelet agents, abnormal pupillary reactivity, a high score in Marshall CT classification, and a higher glucose level were associated with unfavorable outcomes in a univariable logistic regression.
Journal ArticleDOI

Continuous Estimation of Cardiac Output in Critical Care: A Noninvasive Method Based on Pulse Wave Transit Time Compared with Transpulmonary Thermodilution.

TL;DR: The accuracy and precision of the esCCOTM method were not clinically acceptable for critical patients and it failed to reliably detect changes in cardiac output.
Journal ArticleDOI

[OCT, Triple H or anything else?]

TL;DR: In this paper , a 25-jährigen Patientin mit Hyperammonämie is described, and the Relevanz der extrakorporalen Elimination des Ammoniaks is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Angiopoietin-2/Angiopoietin-1 ratio increases early in burn patients and predicts mortality.

TL;DR: In this paper , the first two days after a burn insult were analyzed in critically ill burn patients and the association of the Angiopoietin-2/Angiopoetin-1 ratio with survival and further clinical parameters was examined.
