The complex dynamic structure of the ontology and its content requires implementing of optimization procedures to better ontology processing performance and resolve conflicts between data. This paper addresses the issues of ontology optimization with the purpose of adapting its content to the needs of users by excluding those items that are rarely used or not used at all, or which do not belong or not related to a particular subject area. The approach is based on automated weighting of concepts and relations during ontology learning. The ontology expanded in this way, is sequentially optimized according to criteria of integrity, absence of ambiguity, volume, response time, completeness and thematic balance. The optimization method of minimal spanning tree search was applied. This optimization task can be further reduced to the backpack problem for which the effective solving algorithms are known. The Art of Community. Building the New Age of Participation

Taking into account the challenges and problems that are faced by the modern educational process, it is considered to use modern intelligent systems and algorithms to improve the education and teaching levels in educational institutions. The article describes an algorithm of actions on machine learning using, determining the students success level and analyzing the obtained data. This research can be efficiently used to find out and detect the modern educational problems, and individual and collective pupils sample features, implement the classification process and regression analysis of the data set. Results obtained from the algorithms usage, data analysis are described and demonstrated. The main features, knowledge and insights obtaining methods from the dataset are determined. The applied method is quite efficient and is capable of assessing pupil’s performance metrics. Predicting student’s and pupil’s characteristics will help to segment and divide them into different classes so that it will allow pupils to develop communication, leadership, and self-management skills while studying at school or university. The results show that performance metrics assessment is an integral part of modern education process that is slightly crucial for its improvement and pupil’s trends in education exploration.

Predicting Pupil’s Successfulness Factors Using Machine Learning Algorithms and Mathematical Modelling Methods

Information support for tourism service consumers is the important element of tourism activity. Open websites are the main sources of such support. Widespread approach to the analysis of tourism services quality is the analysis of feedbacks from consumers based on the results of tourism services provision. In this work, it is proposed to evaluate the information provision of tourism services consumer formed in the form of tourism documentation. This approach allows even before the provision of tourism services to influence the choice of the consumer and satisfaction with tourism services. The developed method for evaluating the quality of tourism documentation generated on the basis of the website content is based on ISO/IEC-25010 quality indices that are suitable for assessing the quality of the tourism documentation from the point of view of the consumer of its content. These indices include such sub-characteristics of Operability, as Appropriateness recognizability, Helpfulness, Attractiveness.

Linguistic Comparison Quality Evaluation of Web-Site Content with Tourism Documentation Objects

The paper considers the important scientific task of developing methods of computer and linguistic validation of the user accounts personal data of online academic community. Methods for validation of online academic community users' socio-demographic characteristics on the basis of computer-linguistic analysis of online users' information tracks were suggested. The algorithm for determining the account personal data adequacy is built based on the analyses result of online users communicative process. Software complex for validation of the user accounts personal data based on results of the computer-linguistic analysis of online academic communities' content was approbated.

Validation of the user accounts personal data of online academic community

The article considers an actual problem of protecting university information image from focused aggressive actions. It also studies the protection of university information image in the context of its formation. There are two duration-based types of aggression (short-term aggression: less than one cycle of university information activity; permanent or long-term aggression: more than one cycle of university information activity). The paper considers processes that provide formation of information image of Internet social media, which greatly differ from traditional World Wide Web development processes. This raises the problem of forming university information image in social media, which is autonomous and requires separate study. There are phases of complex multistage process of protecting university information image from aggression (identification of aggression, analysis and prioritization of areas of aggression, resistance to aggressive actions, monitoring consequences of aggressor’s confrontation and attacks). The paper presents systemic features of aggression in respect to information image in the field of education. Motivation and actions of aggression coordinator and direct perpetrators have also been analyzed in the paper. Such separation is important from the standpoint of system, as it helps to better understand the nature of threats, their consequences and, therefore, consider them in further development of threat avoidance methods.

Protection of University Information Image from Focused Aggressive Actions

This paper presents the current problem of multistage process of university’s information image creation. The general algorithm of creating the university’s information image is designed. The periods of university’s information image creation are suggested in this paper. The importance index for a generator (web community or quasi-community based on materials of online mass media that generate the information image for university) is determined. The problem on assigning responsibilities for generators to components is studied. The foreseen efficiency of informational activity of a component in generators is determined. The methodology of component entering a generator of the university’s information image is elaborated in this paper. Effectiveness and efficiency of use of the established methods for creating the information image of L’viv Polytechnic National University is proved by their approbation in the university web communities.

Methods for forming an informational image of a higher education institution

This article considers the current problem of investigation the specific of specialized catalog of educational virtual communities. Peculiarities of catalogs of virtual communities are formed. This study provides a method of organization of catalog of virtual communities of educational direction. This method is based on a formal model of virtual communities as an environment of information activity of the higher educational institutions. The result of the research is the method of socio-demographic characteristics identification of virtual communities' members. The formal models of internet-resources as an object of information activities mostly carried out in researches of internet-catalogs construction are formed. Thus, the primary task of this work is to develop the method of cataloging of virtual communities of educational direction and development of architecture and methods of organization of such catalog.
