Effect of different doses of hexavalent chromium on mandibular growth and tooth eruption in juvenile Wistar rats.

TL;DR: The results showed that the effects of chromium are dose-dependent and chromium was found to affect all the studied parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alterations of tooth eruption and growth in pups suckling from diabetic dams.

TL;DR: The results obtained in this study allow the conclusion that suckling from diabetic dams results in reduced body, mandible size, and tooth eruption of the pups at weaning.

Impairment of Bony Crypt Development Associated With Hexavalent Chromium Exposure During Tooth Eruption.

TL;DR: The delay in tooth eruption observed after exposure to hexavalent chromium is the result of a lower rate of bone remodeling in the developing alveolus, showing the importance of controlling toxic substances in drinking water.
Journal ArticleDOI

Long term bone alterations in aged rats suffering type 1 diabetes.

TL;DR: The results of the present study show that diabetic osteopenia is evident in the tibia at 12 and at 18weeks, whereas its effects on the maxilla can be seen at 24we weeks, with substantial destruction of alveolar bone and of the remaining periodontal and dental tissues.
