Training End-to-End Analog Neural Networks with Equilibrium Propagation

TL;DR: It is shown mathematically that a class of analog neural networks (called nonlinear resistive networks) are energy-based models: they possess an energy function as a consequence of Kirchhoff's laws governing electrical circuits.

Memristive nanowires exhibit small-world connectivity.

TL;DR: The Memristive Nanowire Neural Network (MN3), a novel neuromorphic hardware architecture composed of an electrode array connected by stochastically deposited core-shell nanowires, is simulated to find that the small-worldness coefficient increases logarithmically and is consistently greater than one, which is indicative of a small- world network.

Deep Learning in Memristive Nanowire Networks

TL;DR: This work represents, to the authors' knowledge, the first randomized nanowire architecture capable of reproducing the backpropagation algorithm and shows that the MN3 is capable of performing composition, gradient propagation, and weight updates, which together allow it to function as a deep neural network.

Scalable In-Memory Computing Architectures for Sparse Matrix Multiplication

TL;DR: In this paper , two novel memory-dense and fully parallel architectures for analog sparse matrix multiplication are presented: one based on memristive nanowires, and the other based on 3D lithographic memristors, both realized on a CMOS-integrated chip, Cumulus.
