Modelling and Control of an Overhead Crane System with a Flexible Cable and Large Swing Angle
TL;DR: In this paper, a nonlinear dynamic model of an overhead crane with a flexible cable was developed to move the payload position to the desired point and at the same time to reduce the payload swing and to suppress the cable's transverse vibration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Robust Stabilization for a Class of Nonlinear Singularly Perturbed Systems
TL;DR: In this article, the problem of disturbance attenuation with internal stability for a class of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems via nonlinear H∞ approach is studied, and it is shown through a useful theorem that under appropriate assumptions, the main system may be related to the reduced-order system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Using Singular Perturbation Method for Controlling a Crane System with a Flexible Cable and Large Swing Angle
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed an advanced control system for an overhead crane with transverse vibrations of flexible cable while considering large angle of the cable swing, where the control objective is to move the payload to a desired position and at the same time, to reduce the payload swing and suppress the cable transverse vibration only by applying a directional (horizontal) driving force to the trolley.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic-sigmoid random early detection covariance control as a jitter controller
TL;DR: A novel intelligent sigmoid random early detection controller based on a genetic algorithm is presented to solve the problem of active queue management and an optimisation theoretic method is used to achieve a better performance in queue management in transmission control protocol networks.
