X-ray analysis and IR absorption spectra of Li-Ge ferrite

The mixed ferrite Cu1−xTixFe2O4 (where x = 0 to 0.7) are prepared by the ceramic method. X-ray diffraction and IR absorption spectra in the range from 200 to 1000 cm−1 are used for analysing the compositions. It is observed that samples with x ≦ 0.4 exhibit spinel phase, whereas for x > 0.4 mixed phases of spinel and zincblende may be formed. For single phase x ≦ 0.4, the theoretical lattice parameter (ath) is in good agreement with the experimental value (aexp), which is of the order of 0.833 nm. The presence of Fe2+ ion in the A-site for all samples is realized and the entrance of Ti4+ ion into the A-site just starts at x = 0.4. Some physical properties such as density, porosity, shrinkage, and conductivity at room temperature are studied.



Cu1−xTixFe2O4-Mischkristalle (x = 0 bis 0,7) werden mit einer keramischen Methode hergestellt. Rontgenbeugung und IR-Absorptionsspektren im Bereich von 200 bis 1000 cm−1 werden zur Analyse der Zusammensetzung benutzt. Proben mit x ≦ 0,4 zeigen Spinellstruktur, fur x > 0,4 entstehen Mischphasen aus Spinell und Zinkblende. Im Einphasenbereich x ≦ 0,4 stimmt der theoretische Gitterparameter ath gut mit dem experimentellen Wert aexp ≈ 0,833 nm uberein. Das Auftreten von Fe2+ auf A-Platzen wird fur alle Proben gefunden, das von Ti4+ auf A-Platzen beginnt bei x = 0,4. Einige Eigenschaften, wie Dichte, Porositat, Schwund und Leitfahigkeit, werden bei Raumtemperatur untersucht.

The Effect of Titanium on Some Physical Properties of CuFe2O4

The infrared absorption and dielectric properties of Li–Ga ferrite

Some physical properties (such as lattice parameter, density and porosity) and magnetic properties of the system Mg 1-x Zn x Fe 2 O 4 ; where x=0,0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5and 0.6 have been studied. It was found that the lattice parameter increases with increasing the zinc concentration. The composition dependence of the physical properties is divided into two regions. The first one is for x ≤ 0.3 and the second one is for x > 0.3. From the magnetization measurements, the basic composition (MgFe 2 O 4 ) shows the lowest magnetization, while the composition of x=0.4 shows the highest one. The behaviour of magnetization M versus composition shows also two regions for x 0.3. The behaviour of M versus x was discussed in the bases of cation distribution. From the B-H loops, the remanence induction B r , saturation induction B s and the coercive force H s were determined and studied with x. The Curie temperature T c was determined from the measurements of the initial permeability μ i versus temperature. It was found T c decreases with increasing Zn-content. Also paramagnetic temperature T was determined from the behaviour of M s vs. T. In general it was found T p > T c by about 7-10 K.

Some physical and magnetic properties of Mg‐Zn ferrite

The physical properties of ferrites are very sensitive to microstructure, which in turn critically depends on the manufacturing process. Lithium ferrite is synthesized by milling process. The powder was annealed at four different temperatures 600, 800, 1,000 and 1,200 °C. The powder annealed at 600 °C has the spinel structure with some of α-Fe2O3, while the powders annealed at ≥800 °C formed in single-phase cubic spinel structure. Particle size of lithium ferrite is in the range of 26–70 nm, and is dependent on the annealing temperature. The saturation magnetization increased from 22 to 85 emu/g and the coercivity decreases from 124 to 4 Oe with increase in the annealing temperature. The dielectric constant (e’), dielectric loss (tan δ) and ac conductivity (σac) were measured at room temperature as a function of frequency. The results of dielectric properties were explained in terms of Koops phenomenological theory.
