International expert statement on training standards for critical care ultrasonography
Bernard Cholley,Paul H. Mayo,Jan Poelaert,Antoine Vieillard-Baron,Philippe Vignon,S Alhamid,Martin Balik,Yanick Beaulieu,Raoul Breitkreutz,J-L Canivet,Peter Doelken,Hans Flaatten,H Frankel,Michael Haney M,A Hilton,Eric Maury,RC McDermid,Anthony S. McLean,C Mendes,Pinsky,Susanna Price,D Schmidlin,Michel Slama,Daniel Talmor,JM Teles,Gabriele Via,G Voga,P Wouters,T. Yamamoto +28 more
TL;DR: There was 100% agreement among the participants that general critical care ultrasound and “basic” critical care echocardiography should be mandatory in the curriculum of intensive care unit (ICU) physicians.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ghonim,Ahmed F. Elmahrouk,S Alhamid,Mohamed Maghrabi,Mamdouh Haddara,Alwaleed Aljohar,W Hurley,Saif Alshahrani,Amir Lotfi +49 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors compared percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) outcomes versus coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) in diabetes and LMCA disease patients, and found no significant difference in clinical outcomes during the short-term follow-up between PCI with second-generation DES and CABG except for lower total mortality and a higher rate of congestive heart failure in PCI group of patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unprotected Left Main Revascularization in the Setting of Non-Coronary Atherosclerosis: Gulf Left Main Registry.
Amin Daoulah,Mohammed Abozenah,Mohammed Alshehri,Ahmad Hersi,Noora Yousif,Turki Al Garni,Reda Abuelatta,Wael Almahmeed,Abdulaziz Amer Alasmari,Badr Alzahrani,Mohamed Ajaz Ghani,Haitham Amin,Shahrukh Hashmani,Niranjan Hiremath,Ahmad Alharbi,Hameedullah M. Naser,Youssef Elmahrouk,S Alhamid,Amir Lotfi +47 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined the relationship between co-existing non-coronary atherosclerosis (NCA) and LMCA disease revascularization, and found that myocardial infarction and congestive heart failure were more common in patients with NCA, with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) being the most common revascularisation strategy, while no such difference was observed in patients without NCA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amin Daoulah,M. Naser,Ahmad Hersi,Mohammed Alshehri,Turki Al Garni,Reda Abuelatta,Noora Yousif,Wael Almahmeed,Abdulaziz Amer Alasmari,Alwaleed Aljohar,Badr Alzahrani,Bader K Abumelha,Mohamed Ajaz Ghani,Haitham Amin,Shahrukh Hashmani,Niranjan Hiremath,Hameedullah M. Ghonim,Ahmed F. Elmahrouk,S Alhamid,Mohamed Maghrabi,Mamdouh Haddara,Mina Iskandar,Abeer M. Shawky,W Hurley,Youssef Elmahrouk,Waleed Ahmed,Amir Lotfi +50 more
TL;DR: The impact of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) on clinical outcomes of patients with ULMCA requiring revascularization with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) compared with coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) was evaluated and CABG was associated with higher in-hospital events.
Journal ArticleDOI
